The centre section and outer wing jigs are on loan at East Kirkby from BBMF. We will use them again in 10 or 11 yrs time when the front spars are due replacement.

We landed, left the runway on to the grass and then back onto the runway no probs. Have had this happen a few times in our Lanc.

You shouldn’t believe what the guide said how does he know the depth of work that is going to be carried out. But your comment made me laugh.
Airframe hours are 5824 at the moment, the taiplane is going to be resparred and she has no retirement date that I am aware of. Hope this has cleared up a few things.

Here is an extract from one of my 109 manuals showing the a/c on a rail wagon and being towed by a lorry. So yes they were meant to be transported by rail or road.

This thread is a classic case of somebody starting a thread but actually wasn’t even there. Thank you GrahamF for posting the facts. This time of the year is our busiest with 7 a/c out and about this weekend. We try our best and sometimes because of weather and unserviceablilites we can’t make all the venues. Paul B
