    Pic 74 pair of Bf109G’s probably 2’s you can tell because the fuel filler access is aft of the cockpit almost top of fuselage and the windscreen side lower assy has an air vent scoop on it whereas in Pic 77 Bf109F the fuel filler access is on the port side below the cockpit ledge and the windscreen side lower is perspex.

    Frame 5 is just bent there is no oil tank just the fuel tank, so not a Griffon frame 5

    Electrics working again

    Another milestone achieved last week after a complete re-wire power was applied for the first time, since the BoB film?, we now have cockpit lighting, ident light and rudder nav light working and no smell of burning !!!!!!!!!!

    V A C H stands for Vickers Armstrong Chester don’t know at the moment what B H C stands for, hope this helps

    We have got a few ideas but I was wondering if anyone had any pictures when she was with 1689FPT Flight at Aston Down

    The A/C was complete but was in a mess after years of being with the exhibition flight I have got some piccies of her before we started four yrs ago. The fuselage is 90%ish original only 4 skins and 3 frames have been replaced. We have even reused the skins that were drilled to put a false skin on her, making her look like a high back for the BoB film. Yes it is the first time the flight has done this, although there are only 3/4 of us working on her and only in our spare time, we have learned quite a lot which has helped with looking after the rest of the Spits on the flight.
