HAVE A MERRY FLUFFY CHRISTMAS
Pic 74 pair of Bf109G’s probably 2’s you can tell because the fuel filler access is aft of the cockpit almost top of fuselage and the windscreen side lower assy has an air vent scoop on it whereas in Pic 77 Bf109F the fuel filler access is on the port side below the cockpit ledge and the windscreen side lower is perspex.
We have one of each at BBMF on display outside by the museum shop.
Frame 5 is just bent there is no oil tank just the fuel tank, so not a Griffon frame 5
When you recieve your copy you will understand why it is late. It explains it all in the editorial on page one.
Got mine today.

The Lanc Data plate reads as
B H C
V A C H 0052
D2973
ISSUE 9

V A C H stands for Vickers Armstrong Chester don’t know at the moment what B H C stands for, hope this helps
We have got a few ideas but I was wondering if anyone had any pictures when she was with 1689FPT Flight at Aston Down
The A/C was complete but was in a mess after years of being with the exhibition flight I have got some piccies of her before we started four yrs ago. The fuselage is 90%ish original only 4 skins and 3 frames have been replaced. We have even reused the skins that were drilled to put a false skin on her, making her look like a high back for the BoB film. Yes it is the first time the flight has done this, although there are only 3/4 of us working on her and only in our spare time, we have learned quite a lot which has helped with looking after the rest of the Spits on the flight.
Correct
Yes but it was good fun!!!!!!
Here’s a couple more piccies, PDS what do you think is going to happen when she is finished Big clue BBMF started with Mk XVI Spits
