There is a “dump” at the Pakistan Airforce Museum in Karachi.

No Lancasters or Lancastrians though.

And ACQ seems not to have used its AP markings. I have asked a friend in Pakistan if he has any photos. Will keep you posted.
Laurence
There also appear to have been AP-ACL and M.

Last I heard of BR601 it was in Florida. Did I miss a move to Greenham Common?
Laurence
I presume this IS a glider! The picture is not that clear and maybe there is an engine hiding somewhere.
Laurence
Why is photo 5 (Hudson A16-51 and others) displayed mirror-image?
Laurence
Is it a Gotha of some sort? eg Go242?
Laurence
Excellent Chris.
Yes, the Dufaux 4, a very early (1909) Swiss aircraft, famous for its flight the length of the Lake of Geneva in 1910, not bad considering the distance and the altitude. It took part in trials for the Swiss army, which in fact adopted a slightly modified version, the Dufaux 5. A striking feature was that the ailerons of the 4 were set between the wings, while the 5 had them in a more familar place on the wings, outboard. This machine still exists in the Lucerne Transport Museum.
You have control, Chris

Thanks Thomas.
This one is not a glider, at least it did not glide well.

And post 20:
I thought of Nörvenich (town and end of runway), but it does not quite fit.

I thought of Nörvenich (town and end of runway), but it does not quite fit. I shall ask an ex-Laarbruch ex-Canberra friend if he can spot it.

Wout:
Where in the UAE was this photo taken? I lived in the UAE for 4 years and still go back from time to time, but I cannot recognise the place. Maybe Al Ain, for one of their aerobatic weeks? Nor can I find the photo in previous Forum posts.
Laurence
Hello Wout. U.A.E? United Arab Emirates?
