The Spence swordfish is on the aircraft list for Thunder over Michigan 2006. This year the show has a British theme with many spitfires and a few hurricanes listed as well.

Use British planes and actors… nonsense! I have it on good authority (from my american history book) that the real dambusters were B-17’s,the squadron commander was Clark Gable and the mascot was a dolphin named “flipper” (they used a signal from flipper to know when to drop the device)

Regarding photos of the Oshkos Corsiar. The aircraft is a Brewster built F3A-1 Buno 04634 crashed in North Carolina Dec 1944. The aircraft was recovered by Lex Cralley of Princeton, Minnesota from the North Carolina crash site in the early 1990’s. Currently registered on F.A.A. registry as N4634 pending restoration.

Does anybody know what the plans are for FM212 that was removed from Jackson Park in Winsor, Ontario? The aircraft appears intact including the interior, engines, and landing gear. I understand it was dismantled last fall and placed in a storage facility.

In the U.S. the original dog’s name has been voiced over with “Trigger” by networks showing this classic movie. 😡

Methinks these are not the smartest of pirates. Why not direct fire towards the bridge or use the blasted RPG to damage her steering. On a more direct topic. What does maritime law allow a merchant ship in the way of defense? I’m not a Navy buff, however I would love to see the “pirates” blown out of the water with a Quad 40mm bofors. boom-boom-boom-boom :dev2:

Photos of G-AOZZ can be seen on the yankee air museum website http://www.yankeeairmuseum.org On the homepage find “yankee members photo gallery” located about halfway down, then scroll down to “static display aircraft”.
