Yeh , but to be honest I’d rather it was Airbus. Orders for the A380 are running a bit thin on the ground in comparison to the 787, especially when the A380 will be in service far sooner.
That pics makes the A346 look so graceful, I never appeciated how good it looked before.
Is Baby cheif exec the cheif exec for BMI and bmi Regional.
No, they are seperate.
Just checked some CWL frequencies and the weekday timings to AMS are ridiculous. Once daily, CWL-AMS 19:00, AMS-CWL 21:50.That is useless for business pax and the leisure market isn’t that great on weekdays.
Thats what we’re praying for. It might even be better for some other regioanal carriers to come in and compete with 6G, beat them, and 6G pack it in. Then we can finally have some consistency. Thats what will happen unless 6G have a serious rethink. The BFS routes are actually well used by business pax, but the leisure timings do have some trouble.

I just love the Emirates tail design. Theres nothing special about it, it just somehow looks right. 🙂
😮 No fair! If they’d operated that this year from CWL I could have gone over to see the Blues play in the heineken Cup! ah well. An interesting route indeed. Is this them serving Perp becuase they think it’s a good destination in it’s own right, or is this a cheaper option than flying to TLS?
Any news on the routes for MME’s two aircraft next summer
ORK, JER, LGW, NQY, NOC (NEW ROUTE), CDG, ALC, AGP & PMI.
Because BMI have been in business (in one form or another) since 1938 (Air Schools operating out of Burnaston), and are not a charity or a company to satisfy every reggie spotter’s wish list from obscure regional airports. They exist to make money…nuff said.
Yes but their routes from CWL do make money and lots of it- it’s not like CWL is a tiny part of their operation. As it stands next summer it will make up 17.6% of their total number of weekly flights, and most of those will be nearly full. It’s hardly small change is it.
Jon Horne has said the airports main targets are scheduled routes to Belgium, Germany and the USA, as these countries had the most destiantions which people wanted from the airport follwing a public consultation. Belgium obviously means Brussels (SN Brussels take note).
Haven’t Air Southwest already got that covered?
Yes I just checked and they have. Well it could go one of either two ways: baby turns out the mean bully pushing AS out, or (and imo the most likely) people will stick with AS and baby will end up with egg on it’s face
Haven’t Air Southwest already got that covered?
It’s alrite for people who’ve got MAN or LHR as their locals, when theres new routes and a couple of million people a day, but if you’ve got CWL anything new is a rareity, and everytime we’ve been told something amazings going to happen it never does.
Yeah. tell you what the new service is like when I get back- can’t be as bad as baby! 🙂
