    their deffinately going to one of them, so even if they keep the current contract they will stil be choosing a second base.

    yep, they’ve got the muscle to push baby out easy, they proved that at LGW, and Jet2 shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Unlike baby & Jet2 they’ll start big and just keep getting bigger.

    If they do move in I think it could be the beginning of the end for bmibaby at MAN. I wonder how it will affect Jet2?

    alrite 🙂 , but bmibaby might be expanding at MME. it’s been rumoured that they are an integral part of Peel’s expansion plans, and that once the access road is in place and terminal capacity is increased they will triple their operations from the airport. who knows?

    The airport has just found a new strategic partner in Peel Holdings, owners of Liverpool John Lennon. They are investing millions over the next five years at MME including a new access road direct to the terminal, car parking improvements and expansion and refurbishment of the terminal. They are also setting aside money to launch a world-wide campaign to attract airlines to the airport. The name-change was the first step in the change of the corporate identity.

    Yes, they pulled out of SWS at the start of November, thank god!!! They were stupid to start a base their; Bad access, no facilities and no passengers. They made losses there from the start. hopefully we should see more expansion at CWL, and i wish they’d get some better jet aircraft.

    btw- confirmed, bmibaby starting twice weekly service to Faro, increasing frequencies to Belfast & Paris to twice daily and adding extra flight to Palma bringing total to 5 a week from CWL.
