It looks ok on baby because their liverly isn’t “in your face” if you know what I mean, but I agree that it just doesn’t suit a carrier like Brittania. And since when did lo-cos use 757s?

Makes no sense at first chlance. A 2nd look reveals the possilbe reason for it. The Skyteam alliance. CSA is a member of that airline and the largest European member of Skyteam is AF which has a large amount of airbusses. Alitalia is still rumoured to join Skyteam and they have more airbusses still.

As for CSA being totally Boeing… false. CSA has 3 or 4 A310s as well. Admittedly not the youngest of planes, but still going strong!

Why is it that whenever Airbus wins an order some people immediately claim that the order is obtained through political pressure and/or subsidizing?

You say Alitalia are rumoured to be joining Skyteam, but I have an In-Flight magazine from January 2003 which shows they are already in it. Have they dropped out? I know they want to join the Air France/KLM group but have been told to solve their financial issues first.

It makes me physically sick! The blue lacks any class and the awful smiley face looks like a kids club logo but worse. The Thomson logo on the engine pod looks like an afterthought they stuck on 2 minutes before unveiling it. I wouldn’t have minded a revamp but all this tacky blue an smiley faces makes a mockery of a once great airline, it’s sad to see the old Brittania go.

I expect all the new EU members airlines to switch to Airbus now if they were Boeing

Just found out that BRS didn’t get in! Hows that then? They are so close to each other an BRS outclasses CWL in every respect and handles more than double CWLs passenger numbers, yet it didn’t get in! I’m not complaining, I just find this very odd.

I prefer the font and sweeping tail design of the first, it suits the airline better, but the second lot are great drawings too! So are they becoming more of a lo-co carrier in Europe?

Shame to see G-BOAD like that 🙁 . This is gonna sound completely ridiculous but I’ll say it anyway. How about converting 1 or 2 for the use of the Government? They jet off all around the world in their comfy bumpfy 747s with loads of space and luxury features, when all they really need is speed. Usually they only go long distances when thier in crisis talks, visiting a disaster scene or going to conferences and all these require the need for speed to get their as quickly as possible. It’s a ludicrous idea and it’ll never happen but it keeps concorde in the skies and works to their advantage.
