seems like one from 23 Yak-3M and Yak-9M from Orenburg factory – new made replica without any original parts or parts from Yak-11.

Sorry but I do not know if Kotelnikov’s book is available at the West – I am only know the Moscow home phone number of Mr.Kotelnikov but I am not sure if he knows English… So if anyone call from Britain or so – tell very-very slowly – Vladimir? Your book “Americans in Russia” is possible for buying? What is the price?
Sorry but it is only way ;))
yes one Albemarle was in russia and I have some photos of this airplane with red stars, it was search at Flying Research Institure, but what happened next – I do not know…
Probably 2 airplanes was study at Research Flying institute at war time – both of them was from Poltava airfields or anyone airfields around. Some time i see photos captured P-38 in Poland or Hungary or etc. Never hear that any P-38 was in servise at VVS – only rumors or wrong informations. Some photos available at the book on Russian – author Kotelnikov Vladimir – “Americans at Russia” – subname “Americans airplanes at Russia”
I am closely studied usual ratio overclaims at air battles. It seems that in Germany usual overclaims on Eastern front was from 1 to 5 up to 1 to 3. Russians gave overclaims usually from 1 to 4. Such ratio was very much frequently. I believe as Finns with their system of the account really have brought down 20 % from the declared figures. But certainly it is possible that hardly more – for example 25 % or even 30%. I studied archives, but only with the purpose to find out places of falls of airplanes. Which unique archive I have studied completely was the air buttle at Nomonhan – but there from Russian party overclaims was from 1 to 2, and with Japanese from 1 to 15!
On the photo the La-7 from Monino AF Museum – the airplane of the best Russian fighter 3th Hero of SU Major Ivan Kozebug 62 shot down German airplane included one Me262
One time in Russian AF at 3rd Fighter Air Corps was emblem – swasztic splitted by sword on half-and-half – there can be that emblem on nose of OFMS Yak?
In Russian AF drew the small stars on number of shot down enemy airplanes, but swazticks did not draw never, because Germans killed in Russia so much people, that the hatred to swazticks was very great. Therefore it was accepted to draw stars as a mark shot down enemy airplanes
