score of finn’s pilots must be redused on 80% – Soviets AF never lost so many airplanes that finn’s claimed
green – or as we talk in Russia “protctive” color wqas very popular at SU. 95% of lorry and truck was green too and seems that such paint made very much and it was very accessible. Because wheels in flight usually inside the airplane – so color was green 🙂 Like a first Ford cars – color may be different if it is black 😉

Yes our Po-2 have some modern instruments, but remember that Po-2 in Russia flight from 1928 to 1969-1972. Next all flight of Po-2 was closed because the navigating equipment could not ensure in the repeatedly increased requirements to safety of flights in difficult meteorological conditions. But in the cockpit of Po-2’s that finished its careers at the end of 1960th was install the same instruments that we install at the cockpit of our Po-2.
Before last year all warbirds at Russia was registered at FLA-registe – it was register of public nonprofit society – non-governmental, but recognized by the Government. Now we must registered our Po-2 at the FAVT – Federal Agency of Aviation Transport – a lot of paperwork, but I think some less than in Europe or US.
Po-2 not so expansive because mostly wooden. Engines available with TBO about 400 hours. Of course every year less and less of M-11 can be found.
I am attached photo original instrument panel from U-2VS
