Airline series
Back in the early 80`s I was on my way home to York, I drove past Rufforth airfield, (where I now fly gliders and Tugs).
As I passed the village on the York side I noticed smoke and the empenage of what looked a Dakota sticking out of a hanger, with what looked like a huge hole in the hanger doors.
Shock and horror! I stopped and left my car, to better view this appalling accident.
It was a staged film set, for I was told the ITV series Airline
