    RE: A couple of jokes.

I’m going to regret posting this, any women out there this is not “sexist” okay…

A man returns from work and to relax he turns on a local radio station to listen to some tunes. Two minutes in the music is interupted by the D.J. who says “Sorry to interupt folks but news just in, an unknown person is causing chaos on the M6 by driving down the wrong lane…” Hearing this and knowing that his wife drives along the M6 on her way from work the man calls her and says “Listen sweetheart, don’t want to worry you but I just heard a news report of someone driving down the wrong lane on your motorway.” To which his wife replys “IT ISN’T JUST ONE…THERE’S BLOODY HUNDREDS OF THEM!!!”

    RE: Halloween!!

Well, I was born in Ireland so I naturally believe in Banshee’s and “little people”.
As far as ghosts are concerned, I believe in spirits coming back to warn of danger or future problems.
I have often lay awake at night in my bed with the feeling that I was not alone!

    RE: Aussies

You’ve probably heard this one before…and yes, it’s another English/Irish/Scotish joke…I know, sad.

An English man, an Irish man and a Scot’s man are working on the out side of a high rise office tower while making repairs to the building.
At noon they break for lunch and sit together on the roof of the building. The English man opens his lunch box and shouts out “Ham sandwiches!!! I’ve had Ham bloody sandwiches everyday for lunch for the past three months! If I get Ham sandwiches ONCE MORE,I swear I’ll jump!”
The Scot’s man opens his lunch next and shouts out “HAGGIS(?spelling), I’ve had Haggis every day for the past FOUR months. If I get Haggis again one more time, I’ll top myself too!”
The Irish man is the last to open his lunch and cries out “CORNED BEEF, I’ve had corned beef every day for the past FIVE months and if I get it one more time I’LL JOIN YOU!”
The next day comes along and soon enough it’s lunch time.
All three get the lunch they hated and topped themselves by jumping off the roof.
One week later their wives are discussing the events leading to their husbands deaths. The English mans wife and Scots mans wife agree that if their husbands had told them they wanted a break from their respective lunches they would have done so gladly. However the Irish mans wife says “I just don’t understand it, MY HUSBAND MADE HIS OWN LUNCHES!”

RE: City Changes Name To Generic, Average People Sought

Looks like the Mayor of Madison did a better job than the City Council of Sandwell. The Council wanted to change the areas name so they held a survey to see what people wanted it changed to…namely Sandwell!!! :+

Sad to say but 10-20 deaths is far better than 500-700…don’t you think?

Good job by the Russian Special Forces teams, a real well done!!!

RE: The West responsability with the Third World

I agree with some of what Wombat is saying, if a government is corrupt such as in Indonesia or Ethiopia and recieves aid but decides to spend it on weapons (Ethiopian Su-27s) then is the West to blame for their misery…no!
However, there are certain nations on this world which suffer at our hands. Iraq for example, the innocent people are dying because the West wants to see an end to Saddam and won’t commit to supplying proper aid until he is out.
In Angola the West supported the civil war financially for some time and many lives were lost.

Europe and the US both have large stocks of food readily available which goes to waste year after year when it could be used to feed people in Africa, but it doesn’t get there because various powers that be do not agree with certain African leaderships, and so the people continue to starve.

RE: Firefighters to strike in UK

What makes me sick is that on GMTV (?) on Friday a spokesperson for the Fire Service had no problem with saying that she thought going on strike for a 40% pay rise is worth risking peoples lives for, so much for responsibility.
