A model that was made from the second prototype Vulcan VX777 when she had a wing modification in the 1950s.

Its 777 in her original configuration with a true delta wing.

Yet another Andy here. but the only offical Andy of the meteor team… well as you have seen we have made quite a bit of progress since the lady got a roof over her head. Yes we do have a lot of fun and to be honest long may it continue. Bad news is that belly tank didnt fit my Meriva….. oooh ******!!!

Just a couple from a couple of weeks ago.

as you can see a lot of the corrosion from the undersides of the wing has been sorted.

As we were sorting out the rear engine bay panels you can see how corroded the screws were. but with the magic spray we managed to get the screws out after almost 30 years + oof being in there.

Hi I hope you all have had a good Christmas.

Well one of our Christmas presents came on christmas eve thanks to M A P Photograhy in lincoln. As you may know we have been trying to find out what the nose art was on her when she was part of 1 ANS and was given a nick name of “Dixey” which we have now found out is a cartoon cat much like topcat with a terry thomas style mustache. Will post some pics tomorrow.

Just like to wish all of you a very happy and peaceful New Year and thank you all for your support. We have come a long way in a year and next year is going to be exciting i hope.

We did mention it was a little shot up. When i showed a pic to one of my ex army friends he said.. ” oh that big hole in the tank… i did that” Im still his friend nonetheless just a little more cautious …

Thank you guys for all the encouragement. As Rich and Blue has said its a long process that will bear fruit, I say that but as you can see what she was like exactly a year ago from today to where we are now is nothing short of phenomenal.

thing is there is quite a bit of camaraderie within the team too, we were all friends before we took this on so that really helps with morale, which can waiver especially up a hill in horizontal rain with a swamp being created under your feet next just up the road from a creepy world war Z deserted German village in spennybridge in Wales. Certainly an experience and we got some great parts that we needed for 788.

As blue has said we will keep you all informed of our progress on how she is doing. Dixie has a great future.

The prototype 146 is still in existence. G-LUXE (formerly G-SCHH) is still flying as a weather research station. The prototype RJX is at Manchester airport. and part of the second prototype Vulcan is still in existence too on my mantle piece.

Yes certainly in the Malta area. They think they have located the wreckage of the Sea Gladiator, Charity. and the Blenheim will be raised too i am led to believe too.
