Normally I would like to believe, that Eurocopter and Mil (=Euromil) will build a modern
version of the Mil Mi-26. But they have beeeing working on the Mil Mi-38 since years without customers so far.
And I still have the An-70 debate during the 90’s in my mind……

Great picture report, Ken!
Full scale mock-up of the Mil Mi-54
Thanks, I missed the Mil Mi-54 in the MAKS 2007 thread!:)
I hope, that at MAKS 2009 we will see a prototype!

Last Wednesday a German Eurofighter landed with the arrester hook at Neuburg/ETSN.
I can’t tell you yet, if it was a real emergency or just training a emergency landing.
EDit:
Dear forum rookies,
no, the Eurofighter can not land on a aircraft carrier! ๐ :p

My deepest condolences to the families and friends of the soldiers!
I wish the wounded soldiers quick recovery!
Does anyone know who the manufacturer of the Kh-38M is? Is is Zvezda, Raduga, or Vympel? ….
Logan Hartke
Russiaโs Tactical Missile Corp. ?

Bulge on C-17 is designed to deal with things that you Rooskies made a lot of and now are on the black market everywhere… Circular panel is movable/rotatable.
 What he says?
Thanks, UAZ! ๐
I miss new helicopters like the Mil/Kazan Mi-38 and Mi-54 (mockup) at MAKS 2007. ๐
I just noticed, that 2 new Mig-29K (with 3 blue camo) are shown at MAKS.
Mig-29K Bort “941”, single seat, rear seat removed but with a equipment pack (extra fuel?)
Mig-29K(UB) Bort “947”, double seat
Dear folks,
I just looked at the brochure again ! ๐ฎ :p
There is no rear tail warning radar mentioned. And I remember seeing the video about the Su-35 a few months ago, which showed Su-35’s exchanging data รก la Link-16.
It seems, that there is no in the Su-35 Bort “901”.
Maybe in near future a customer could order a rear tail warning radar system just like we can add a parking-radar system to our car. ๐ ๐
In the brochure there is also a bird view graphic of the Su-35, which shows its fuel systems. The fuel system components are painted yellow, and parts of the fins have such components. So the fins must have integral fuel tanks.
If you mean the Su-27BM / Su-35, go to this thread.
No news or pictures so far on the PAK-FA etc..
Mig-29K(UB)

It seems that the rear ejection seat is removed for more equipment.
I wonder if this is just done for flight testing or will the single seat Mig-29K have also a equipment/fuel pack in the production version. Reminds me of the Su-25 family.

What is this teardrop bulge on the front backboard side?
Back to the Su-35 black “901”:
I do not like that camo, the one in the brochure suits me better.
What a coincidence! ๐ฎ
The SU-35 with that camo was shown as a model at MAKS 2005.

All point I cared about Su-35 only is how it carry 4 R-77 under centre line pylons
From the brochure:
“12 hard points with 2-station racks available”
