    Deino,
Eurocopter canceled during the development of the EC-145 the Fantail for cost reasons.
Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. also distributs the EC-145 as the BK-117C2, and the french part of Eurocopter did not want to export the Fantail technology.

Unfortunally, I can’t give you any sources for that info! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ™‚

why not just upgrade the B52 with GeNx engines? Update the structure make it lighter add more fuel give it more range

I have understood up to now, all the proposals of B-52 engine upgrade have been discarded for uneconomical.

Pic’s of B-52 engine upgrade proposals here at the forum Secret Projects. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    B-1R concept
The B-1R is a proposed replacement for the B-1B fleet.[8] Boeing’s director of global strike integration, Rich Parke, was first quoted about the โ€œB-1Rโ€ bomber in Air Force Magazine. Parke said the B-1R (R stands for โ€œregionalโ€) would be a Lancer with advanced radars, air-to-air missiles, and F-22 engines. Its new top speedโ€”Mach 2.2โ€”would be purchased at the price of a 20% reduction of the B-1Bโ€™s combat range. This proposal would involve modifying existing aircraft. The FB-22 and YF-23 are alternative proposals.

Additional enhancements would include network-centric capabilities, air-to-air engagement, active electronically-scanned array radar, improved defensive systems, and opening up existing external hard points for conventional weapons.

    Berijew Be-112

At their stand the ILA 2006 Berijew showed a model of a new commercial amphibian Berijew Be-112.
The Be-112 has two turboprop engines, and can carry up to 27 passengers.
This amphibian is suited for the Caribbeen Sea or similar markets.
The pic and the info are from the german mag Flieger-Revue.
Please forgive me the quality of the pic; it was taken from my mobile phone (SE K700i, which has no autofocus!)
