Actually the Rafale exists in more versions:
Rafale A (prototype) , Rafale B (twin-seat), Rafale C (single seat), Rafale M (navy single seat), Rafale N (navy twin seat, never left drawing board). I will skip out the proposed export versions.
The Armee de l’Air operates the Rafale B (twin-seat) and Rafale C (single seat), and the French Navy operates only the Rafale M.

Commercial Aviation Analyst’s website
The website of Leeham Co. LLC, a commercial aviation analyst company, is quite interesting.
I just prited out some of their articles (PDF!):
We meet with Airbus Executives
What is all the fuss about the 787 vs. A350 and the A380 vs. 747-8?
… 😎 🙂
Their articles are widely discussed this week at A.net.
First female pilot in the Canadian Forces Snowbirds… selected in 2000
She flew the number 3 position in 2001 and number 2 in 2002.
Women have been associated with the team in Liaison/Coordinator and support roles for many years.
IS she also your co-pilot in your avatar? 😉 😀
Wow, superb job, which type is it?
I presume, it’s a Mig-29M, because it has no secondly intakes in LERXs!
No, one of the new SSGN’s Ohio Class!!! 😉 :diablo: 😀
Ren Frew,
can you sum up the article in the May edition of Aircraft Illustrated?
Thanks in advance!
My thoughts
Skymonster, excellent answer!
Reading this thread and other news articles, I have the feeling, that BA will wait to the end of this year on its decision abouts its high-capacity fleet (I mean, B747-8 or A380). I dought, that BA will aquire one (or both 😉 😀 ) type(s) at FAS 2006.
My 3 reasons are:
First, as Skymonster writes, they want to “wait and see the A380 after it enters service”. BA will look over the shoulder of Virgin and Singapure on their first tests and flights.
Secondly, BA is yet not too keen to be the launch customer for the passenger version B747-8. In the last 15 years, the “TNG’s” of the B747 were cancelled or put back on the drawing board. The niche market will be more smaller for the B747-8 as for the A380. So if Boeing does not get enough orders for the pax version of the B747-8 at the end of the year, it might cancel it, and use time, money and manpower on the B787-10, “B797” (B737 sucessor) or on “B777NG”.
Third, high fuel costs. BA will wait how the situation in the Middle East (Democracy in Iraq, crises with Iran….), and so the oil price, will develop in the foreseeable future.
We will wait and see!
(Please do not see my spelling mistakes, I am trying out a laptop at the uni!) 😮 :p
Are the 3 other CC-150’s in PAX or in VIP roles? (compered to GAF)
Why do other nations not copy american pick-ups, german cars, italian sportscars, japanese citys cars or british station waggons? :p 😉 🙂
A copy of a high class product seems always cheep!
The A380 will fly back to the ILA 2006 in Berlin on Friday, and over the weekend it will be presented in LH colours (stickers, like VH).

I presume, at FAS 2006 the A380 will be presented with Virgin Airline stickers.
Nice wif…., ahh, aircraft! 😉 😀 🙂
Danke, Deino! 🙂
Whoa, that “Super Galaxy” has now a bigger sting! 😮 😎
Did I not hear that slogan over another “Super” aircraft a few years ago??? 😉 :diablo: 😀
