    Me 262C

Some prototype and planned versions of the Messerschmitt 262 C had 3 engines – two jet engines and 1 rocket engine.

I can’t find the previous thread on this subject, has it been deleted?

Found this thread not via search mode  – just by looking through my resent posts.
What the? New US stealth plane?
Some of my resent posts to a thread of the movie are gone/delated! πŸ™ 😑
Maybe the mods are merging these threads or moving them to GD!
Mods, if so, please let us know!! πŸ™‚

In an USAAVNC (US Army Aviation Command) briefing on Aug 1st, a 1-star general said it will be the ARH-69 “Arapaho”. At least some of those present at the briefing say it was not a joke (at least not immediately recognizable as one) … but I definitely wouldn’t bet on that πŸ˜€ !

Anyway, OH-58E is almost certainly out – the ARH will get a new H-series number.

This helicopter is not to hide behind trees and feed attack choppers with targets (e.g tanks) information. That is a european/korean cold war scenario!
This helicopter is, as Victor writes, observe and fight in urban warfare scenario.

BTW, the Bell helicopters, the USMC’s UH-1Y, AH-1Z and the US Army ARH use the same FLIR/CCD/Designator/Rangefinder Sytem BRITE Starβ„’.

What designation is being given to it? Is it OH-58E or is totally new?

    Maybe or “OH-72”!!!
    .

    Next Number
The next available design number in the H-series is H-70 (or H-72, if the skipping of H-70 is made “permanent”).

“Rescue Dawn”/ “Little Dieter Needs To Fly”

Just saw this on a german website:
The german director Werner Herzog will film the pilot drama “Rescue Dawn”. The film showes the life history of the german pilot Dieter Dangler
Herzog has already filmed a documentation under the title “Little
Dieter needs to fly – Escape from Laos” in 1997

The main role in the strip becomes Christian Bale , Steve Zahn (Sahara) plays one of the fellow prisoners. Filming begins in August in Thailand.
    Here the plot:

While growing up in desolated post-WW II Germany, Dieter Dengler, the son of a Nazi slain during the war, dreamed about was becoming a pilot. At age 18, he left his country with only a few cents to his name and emigrated to the U.S. Landing in San Francisco, he worked odd jobs until he was accepted into the Navy and began pilot training. He was sent to Vietnam around 1966 and on his first mission was shot down and taken prisoner. There, the Vietcong tortured and starved him until Dengler engineered a hair-raising escape and eventually returned to the U.S. where his heroic life story has been forgotten until now.

There was a movie using the F117. I think it was called Top Gun – Interceptor. I remeber a scene where the F117 falls out of a transport aircraft and it is started in tha fall. can some one help me remeber the movie? I saw it some 12yrs back.

The movie is called “F-117 – A Stealth War” or “Interceptor”.
I remember seeing it also 10-12 years ago. My first thought was, that Juergen Prochnow was an actor in the movie.
