That first video… awww… love the T7!
and haha, the second video. I would have lost my lunch during that ride…
While I hope this proves true, I think we’ll find out in March… 😉
Hmm, I was just curious — is the 787 going to have an APU that vents out the side (ala 777) or the typical cone-style exhaust?
Airbus lost because it’s contender the A350, is derived from an old design that’s half way through it’s life cycle, whereas Boeing went to Qantas with a superior clean sheet design for a more technically advanced and more fuel efficient airliner
Not necessarily, according to this link:

(You may have to refresh a gazillion times to get it to load.)
Congratulations to both groups! I was hoping to see an order for the T7… but no doubt this one is certainly a tremendous gift!
[Edit: on second thought, I wonder whether Boeing’s stock price increase yesterday had to do with this…]
Congrats to Cathay Pacific… but this is also a testament to the A330, which has proven to be a tremendously succesful Airbus program. 😎
(I think he means price may be the final deciding call… even if one product is better, the lesson is that technical superiority doesn’t determine all.)
No they are actually buying 12 A350-800s.
D’oh, I should have put a smart-a$$ smiley on that one… (this guy:  )
And is this airshow open to the public?
Yeh , but to be honest I’d rather it was Airbus. Orders for the A380 are running a bit thin on the ground in comparison to the 787, especially when the A380 will be in service far sooner.
You mentioned this post first, before bring_it_on posted his question.
I’m confused, and don’t think that pursuing this is helping the thread — so let’s shake hands and more on, eh? 🙂
Side note:
good articles, bring it on, but I was lost on this one from the Seattle PI:
The 777-200 is the world’s longest range commercial jetliner. According to Boeing, it can fly upto 7400 nautical miles (13700 kilometers).
Why mention the 772 here? It’s certainly not the longest-range airliner, either. 🙂 (rhetorical question)
Edit: and what is this?
Another Kuwait-based company, ALAFCO, an international aircraft leasing company, ordered 12 Airbus A350F, with the option of buying six more. Delivery is expected in the first quarter of 2012, the company said.
… they’re buying the not-yet-existent A350F?
These 70 orders were for the 737 — not the 787.
It IS the logo for a beer. :D:D:D
AFAIK the airline is owned by the same people that own the brewery.
Is that right, Kabir?
Haha, I had no idea…
Should we translate Grey Area’s post now, for the benefit of the doubt? 😀
And the Kingfisher logo (the words) looks like a logo for a beer… :uhoh:
Beautiful vueling jet — I think it’s the best-looking CS on a narrow-body I’ve seen.
