Oh right another back slappers joined the party

Please don’t answer him, he has totally lost it. These posts are why such people as us are not posting anymore if we can help it. This is supposed to be an historic aircraft forum. Keep it so or please stop.

    Stormin’ BBMF

I lost it years ago, The reason people don’t post on here is because of people like you sloathes, have you noticed its always the same people on here, new people never stop for long. I just put up with you.

What do you mean, Please stop, my Mrs says that but she means more, more.

    wake up call

Can i join you lot for a pint whilst Mr Beard thinks of something really intelligent to contribute to the prices at Duxford.
Maybe IF he can work out how to lessen the fuel costs, insurance costs,VAT,rise in the cost of living and make a profit so these wonderful aircraft can be kept where we want to see them.
Mr Beard have you considered joining the Friends of Duxford,oh now THAT may save you money and help with keeping the museum functioning, but i don’t suppose you can see too clearly with that red veil over your eyes.
    http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/server/show/nav.00d00i003

What is the point of talking intelligent, you lot all talk like Shirley Temple anyway.

Maybe if we still had an Aviation industry, a Boat Industry and a Car industry, we would not need to pay as much for the cost of living.

Why should I buy a Friends Of Duxford membership I would never benefit from it. DX is owned by the goverment, they also had a record year on entries to the museum last year. The goverment pockets the money. Wake up.

this about sums up whats wrong with this country. someone living on benefits which the rest of us who pay tax is funding, still happy to **** away £100 on beer in a weekend, and bitching about the price of non essential entertainment. simple, if you cant afford it then dont go. why should we fund your beer and your airshows, the world dosnt owe you a living

Oh right, now we are personal, quick get a moderator and ban him, oh I have just soiled myself with laughter.

Moggy, look at the thread just above yours.

Do I take it you are unable to find anybody who “made rude or personal comments” ?

I suggest that thinking before posting is never a bad rule.

As thread originator it is within your power to pull the thread

I really cannot be bothered, but their really is a number of people on here that all seem to know each other and if someone at anytime goes against a certain grain everyone seems to gang up, (I said naughty words against the IWM) just like at school, little pegs at people, little remarks by people and then backed up by the next bloke by some other smart aleck reply and so on.

Infact I have never read anything like the comments written on here to other people and it always seems to me they are always the same people making the comments.

I have looked at other aviation forums and the same people turn up ripping everyone to pieces, they jump from forum to forum like fleas on a dogs back.

I will also add that if my first thread had been written by Jonnie Johnson, Duke, Twiss, Gentile, Erwin, etc, etc all the said people I am on about would have totally agreed with them, they would have all been saying “Don’t worry Johnnie, no worries we will ring the IWM for you”. Double standards, do you know where I am coming from, I hope most sincerely that you do. I am not alone in my comments as I do get emails and private messages from people who have used this site.

There has only been a couple of nice comments on this thread and one was from texantomcat, he understood. The others,”BANG” straight in, all guns blazing,- save 0.7658p a week, – you only drink alchohol to make friends, – £100.00 on beer, (i did say maybe).

I stop on a caravan site for 4 nights and I do not think £100.00 is alot for say 3 people and maybe 4 BBQs, do you?

Maybe these people are peeved cause I live off the state and I want to get in cheaper, that is probably their gripe, it will be, although they would never admit it.

I am certain after you have made a reply to me someone else will have another comment to make, although now I have written this they probably won’t just to prove a point.

Had enough now and just to finish off sarcastically, I’m going to the pub for some beer so I can socialise. Where is the wife I need a £100.00.

And just a little bit of advise to you, you be very careful what you say to people on here or at events, they will stab you in the back as soon as look at you.
GRIPE OVER AND BAN ME IF YOU MUST.

    Regards

This thread has brought me such joy! I’m glad I’ve saved it for those cold winter days when I need a laugh.

I have just read what you have put and also looked at your little picture on the left and truly you have made me cheer up and laugh, thanks. 🙂

    Cheers

Moggy close this thread before we all have a stroke please.

Flying Legends admission at £30.00 works out a £0.5769 per week if you save up each week throughot the year. You can be there from 8.00am to 7.00pm which works out at £2.727 per hour.

Take your own food, it will be better and cheaper! You don’t have to buy anything from the stalls, if you do buy from one of the charities or associations, they are always better value and your money goes somewhere where it will further aviation.

Can’t understand what all the fuss is about, are we keen or not?

We have a pretty average football team near where I live, it costs £25.00 for most games, I make that £16.66 per hour. Duxford is good value, even if it rains!

And finally, can we have that rude chap banned?

Well at least you can use a calcalator, its like being at bloody this is..

“Miss, Miss ban the rude boy”

Out of interest, when did you speak to the IWM Rob Beard? Today? And were the words attributed to IWM staff above the exact words used to you? I would be interested to know either way…

I spoke to the lady in the ticket office 10 minutes or so after my first thread and yes they were the exact words.

    Fair enough

Mr Beard…you are correct in that the leaflet you have scanned for us contains incorrect information. The correct prices for disabled adults and their carers was confirmed to staff yesterday (by Head of Marketing) as £10 per person for each airshow, or £8 in advance, as already stated as several members.

    Now please calm down.

Fair enough and you have answered me in a polite manner and if someone had posted the link in the first place, all this **** need not have happenned and I suggest in future that some of the people on here keep their views to themselves about other peoples income and expenditure. All the people who made rude or personal comments to me, are the same people who caused all the **** about TFC the other week and it was me through no uncertain means stopped it. I have never been banned off any other FORUM in my life (not all aeronautical) and on many I am highly regarded and members are so polite to. But all the above who have come out with their smart ass comments and the backslappers and creeps, well,

THEY CAN ALL GO AND **** THEMSELVES….

    Hows that for being rude

Kindest regards and my sarcastic love.
