Hold your horses mister, lost control could mean several things. Let’s wait until we get a clear account to draw any conclusions.

I often fantasize of well upgraded versions of the A7 and the A6 intruder for low COIN missions.

Imagine an A6 with afterburner-less F414! There’s plenty of room/power to fit new up to date avionics, you got a two people crew, and huge payload & range. Plus it’s carrier capable.

Yeah, but that’s still quite the attrition rate. Good the pilot made it ok.

Even the Russians are starting to accept that the world will be a better place without the Assad regime (according to the BBC this morning).

So a dying regime with few friends will look to distract from its troubles by any means possible.

Will the world be a better place with yet another islamic fundamentalist state? Pray tell…

    Nic,

You are seriously lost in the world of conspiracy. Of course there are media snippets and mention of the attempts to find and rescue the crew. Try a little harder and keep away from the conspiracy drivel websites. Did you get the QF-4 idea from the Above Top Secret forum? If I can make a guess you also have questions about aviation during 9/11? Nothing would surprise me. Any Thierry Meyssan books on your shelf?

Both crew of the Phantom have been named. Will you be claiming that they don’t actually exist or will you be suggesting that they met a more sinister fate? The mind really does boggle with you conspiracy driven guys!

The Fathers of both missing crew members have commented.

What next from you, Nic?

Meh I somehow wished it was a QF4. The theory would have been nice, since the crew is very unlikely to be found alive.

What is suspect to me is that there is no mention of the crew of the Turkish plane whatsoever.

Everything seems to center around if NATO will go to war or not. But nobody seems to care of the crew. What gives? Was it a RQF4 or something?

Has anyone read something about searching for the crew at all?

    From the last link:

Turkey’s deputy PM said the CASA search and rescue plane, looking for the F-4 Phantom jet, was not brought down.

They look for the F4 & not for the crew.

I think more and more than this event was staged & the guys who staged it forgot that first and foremost people would be looking for the crew.

Anyway, this won’t lead to anything good, there’s a high possibility that this will be used as a pretext for the long-awaited war… 😡

But all the western countries claim they don’t want a war with Syria :confused::confused:

    Now I’m confused 😮

Erm?! In this thread at no point have I quoted any news reports. I have called you out as a bit paranoid…that is your funeral! But don’t accuse me of something I haven’t done!

I wasn’t specifically talking about you, but I was indeed replying to some posts, when I said those things that made you call me a loony.

As for Wesley Clarke in 2007…you are keen on bashing us over the head on that one aren’t you! What he said FIVE YEARS AGO has no bearing on official NATO policy NOW! So far every major NATO nation that has said anything about Syria has clearly stated that they don’t want to do any kind of intervention…PERIOD! AS for the US there is no way Obama in a presidential election year is going to launch any major military action unless Syria deploys Chemical or Nuclear weapons!!!

Clarked talked about “The plan”… obvisouly it wouldn’t stop until it was completed.

As for your other point. Obama had Sarkozy & Cameron do it in Libya. Why dirty your hands when you have dogs that can do it for you?

I ‘m not sure that Syrians needed an important reason to open fire to a hostile aircraft other than self-defence. They open fire to unarmed crowd every day for less important or justified reasons…

    Proof please.

Conspiracy or not I doubt the US and Obama would be willing to start a war before the election unless they managed to get something big like Syria launching (or allegedly launching) chemical weapons on its neighbour or something.

The US doesn’t need to go to war with Syria. They can do it Libya style: Have his pets sarkozy & cameron start a full air campaign, and send in some al quaeda troops trained & helped by western special forces, and financed & armed by the west & quatar.

Only this time they have to change the tactic a bit. Many people realise that the Libya case was a manipulation, & many of the lies emerge with the time. Also there’s the fact that the place has gone to hell, and being taken over by the fundamentalists (duh!)…

So it makes sense to try another route, and stage some provocation so that Turkey could invoke the NATO treaty to get help from the US for tankers and air support…

When I say stage, I just mean to make it happen. It could be a real event that was brought by escalating tension by provoking Syria… it wouldn’t be the first time in history, and won’t be the last.

While an armed conflict might not be in the present interest of the West, we do know that many are looking for a regime change in Syria. Whether they get it by armed conflict or not, that’s of little concern. An armed conflict would be a mean to a end, not a goal in itself.

Armed conflict are always in the interests of those who rule the western world behind the curtains. The end being making some rich people even richer by pulling rogue states (those who don’t play the debt game) back in the globalised world.

Well at this point in time we have no concrete information about what happened so your corrections Nicolas10 are a bit premature at this point.

If we don’t know, then don’t quote fake news pieces, & I won’t feel compelled to call BS.

You seem dead certain that there is a nasty NATO conspiracy to attack Syria, so far we have had no evidence for that…actually we have had evidence for quite the reverse. Major NATO members have been at pains to point out that they don’t want to engage Syria and the security council of the UN are pretty much deadlocked on the matter even with evidence of rather violent attacks on civilians (and UN monitors). I would say that Syria knows that the UN and NATO have no stomach for another military intervention also China and Russia appear to be prepared to veto any suggestion of a resolution along those lines.

They can point out whatever they want, the fact is that the alledged massacre of “peaceful protesters” in Syria is plastered all over the news for about a year. I don’t even mention “documentaries” about how life is terrible in Syria, or the fact that Wesley Clarke said in 2007 that there was a US plan to take over Syria & six other countries. And it seems like it was right for at least two of those.

As for article 5 the fact is Turkey doesn’t have to invoke it and appears to not want to escalate the crisis as it stands. If Syria pushes again then I think there might be punitive action by Turkey alone but at this point it looks unlikely.

Sorry? If Syria pushes again? I’d say Turkey pushed this time since it sent reconnaissance planes over Syrian airspace.
