    …… even in the 1971 war the Indian carrier never made an apperence, I think the carrier may be more of a liability thedn an asset…….

    why did the PN deploy the sub (ghazi?) for ?? i guess its main mission was to take out the carrier right ?

    in this entire thread….
    it has been taken for granted that the IN carrier willbe sitting at a distance of 100KMs/miles from karachi at ponit X for the PAF mirages to come in with their F-7 escorts and let loose the exocets….

    well, i would like to know how and in what way would the pakistan AF/NAVY detect the IN carrier…. ? what maritime patrol/Recon assets do they have to detect the IN carrier and its battle group….

    What’s wrong with India potentially acquiring the MIM-104? Isn’t Pakistan supposedly developing something Yahoo25 thinks is superior to the S-300PM-1/2, which are themselves superior to the MIM-104?

    I can tell you Romea and Juliet 20 times and you’ll again ask who was Romeo. Some ppl just dont want to accept a thing. So why waste my precious time on something so unimportant?

    Dude, I dont dont that the SU-30 is a threat, but right now the debate is on teh Mirage v IN Carrier,

    thats what the people don’t understand….. 😡

    So during wartime, when the Su-30mki takes off and approaches the Arabian sea, PAF Fan will jump out from no where and tell the Su-30mki -> hey get outta here…. 😡

    this is supposed to be a “Mirage Vs IN carrier” engagement only….. why because we discussed it on the KeyPub forum…… now get out…..

    and so the Su-30mki returns back to base…. and the IN carrier sinks…..

    Again Chinese needed to know what exactly PAF needs!! cant you get that… and we paid for it..not free…what does that means?? We tell em these are the demands..you do the supply..and we pay the price..

    How much did pakistan pay ? eh ? 150 million ??? 😀 and after paying that amount, you can demand anything from china ? 😀 😮 :rolleyes:

    and by the way, the PAF will need everything….. that doesn’t mean that China will have to put each and everything in the FC-1 “OWLET DRAGON”….

    12 Aircraft are dedicated anti-ship with agave radar, these can at MINIMUM expect an equal number of F-7 escorts, so your looking at 20-24 odd fighters, all with superior avionics and weapons then the Harriers, so please remain convinced the Agostas are the only threat….. 😀

    why do you always talk about purely one-on-one engagements ??

    what makes you think that the IAF will not come in the picture ??

    the Indian armed forces will make use of all available hardware to them in case of hostilities…..

    so, the ” 20 – 24 ” odd fighters might face any A/C from the MiG-21,MiG-29,Su-30mki, the sea harrier….
