    rwr = radar warning receiver
IFF = identification friend or foe

I did not find anything logical in your statement or link.

here the rwr… And where is the link with China?

    http://defencetalk.com/pictures/albums/userpics/normal_PAC_sRWR.JPG

    RWR BM/KJ 8602

manufactured by : Southwest China Research Institute of Electronic Equipment

if its this RWR in the pic, then its for sure that pak is license producing it….

    Hi PAF Fan….

you have not included the ADS-37 in the list…..

YAHOO25 was saying something about the ADS-37 on some previous thread…. that its better than the russian S-300 and that India now has a reason to worry…..

Got any pics of the ADS-37 ?

actually pakistan has a significant export potential for this system…..

China has been buying significant Nos. of the S-300(variants) from Russia…..

if, as claimed by YAHOO25, the ADS-37 system is better than the S-300, then Pakistan will be getting significant orders from its all-weather ally- China…..

Because you may not also of thought of the facts that the MIG-29/SU-30/MIG-21 also have a air to ground capability….
    Thats why…..

the IAF Mig-29s do not have air to ground capability…. its an “air superoirity” platform……

i still dont get it…. why would the Mig-21 bison and the su-30s “escort” the MiG-29 ???? 😀

If you read properly I think it was stated that the MIG-21 Bisons and SU-30s were escorting the MIG-29s…

    Mig-21 bisons and Su-30s for escorting an “air-superiority” fighter ??? 😀

    “….escorting the MiG-29 !” 😀 😀

FC-1 is not dependent on RD-93. Despite russian insistance no contact has been signed yet.
Just look who are hoping for contract sign and fullfillment.

Fc-1 not dependant on RD-93 ?? is it gonna fly without an engine ?? 😮 😀

seriously…. until the Chinese engine comes online….(WS~something…)
the russian RD-93 is the ONLY choice the FC-1 has…. 🙁

and YAHOO…. when you say that a contract has still not been signed….

it is of MORE concern to YOU rather than the russians….

if something goes wrong…. the russians will loose just a contract…. whereas, for the PAF specially, it’ll be a nightmare….. the FC-1 is going to be the PAFs mainstay(backbone…) for atleast a decade….

No FC-1 availability = operational planning and force levels of the PAF take a serious hit…. then the PAF will have to wait for the chinese engine to be ready and power the FC-1….

one can only hope that everything goes on smoothly….. and to say :FC-1 is not dependant on the Russian RD-93……

Nirav no need to bring in the FC1. You can defend mig29K very easy but attacking fc1 is just simple flaming…

hi PLA…. i am responding to YAHOO’s comments….. and if you read a couple of pages of this thread…. you will see that YAHOO has proved that the FC-1 is already superior to the Su-30mki…..

so when i mentioned the FC-1…. it was aimed at YAHOO…. and more so because he called the Mig-29K as “ANCIENT“….. i wanted to know whats ancient about the “K” and modern about the “owlet dragon”……

What has foldable wings, auxilary intatke, IRST and air refuelling has to do with modern design. Modern design means reduce RCS and drag.

    yeah sure…. 😀 don’t need them…. don’t require them….. 😀

just need a fighter called FC-1….. and when engaged in a fight…. just need to shout on the mic “hey !!! its THE FC-1 here….”
and all the fighters, Su-30mki included, will run away…… 😀

and yes…. IRST, Air to air refuelling, auxilary air-intake, foldable wings are WWII vintage….. “ANCIENT”

    and compared to the MiG-29K, Su-30MKI, the FC-1 is the ultra-modern fighter….. 😀

EDIT: err… forgot to add…. that the FC-1 is modern because it is not ancient and does not have any of the features that “ANCIENT” fighters have….
also since it is modern…. it humbles the raptor, JSF, F-117 etc…. by quite a wide margin due to its low RCS…..

also the drag of FC-1 is so reduced that its Cd~0.000000000000000001 and this allows the FC-1 to have unimaginable range……. 😀

just look at the ancient aircraft.
    http://www.migavia.ru/im/photo/36b.jpg

    thats the Mig-29k i guess….

    if that’s “ancient”….

can you post a picture of the “modern” FC-1(which you champion as better than the Su-30mki) which has foldable wings, auxilary air-intake, IRST and having air to air refuelling capability….

Anybody who knows anything about the region, minus the Indians, knows that the Talibans never left afghanistan nor were they defeated per se or dealt at least what would constitute a conventional military defeat. They just took off their black turbans (trade mark of the Talibans) and blended back into the population.

All the smoking out of the cave rhetoric as well as the precision guided munition raining down on the archaicaly armed talibans and the B-52 being called in by the spec forces to flush out unusually stiffer resistance ended up mostly targeting wedding parties, fleeing civilians and in worst cases Afghans settling their personal scores and the noble americans all too giddy in their enthusiasm to avenge the murder of 3000 of their compatriots, righteously obliging. In very few instances were the Talibans on the recieving end of the american wrath.

Fact of the matter is that the real power is wielded by the warlords; Dostum, Ismail Khan, Masood’s protege Fahim and his co-hort Qanooni and all the rest of ex-commie NA lot would not allow a relative new comer and oil company prospector Karzai to attain any meaningful control in the long term. They had after the ouster of Taliban temporarily yield and will continue to do so until the situation is right for their traditional and long term benefactors in Russia, Iran and India to exploit for their benefit. Meanwhile look for opium production to progressively rise and Karzai to continue in his innocuous role as the mayor of Kabul.

you talk as if you are a remnant of those talibs….

    been there…(afghanistan)
done that…..(took turban off & blended with local population)
