This report is FIVE years OLD

you are absolutely correct…. Mr. hatoum…. the report *is* 5 years old… agreed…

but if you read it carefully… according to that report, the ninth plan was going on at that time….

The Ministry of Defence have stated that there is going to be a planned induction of various aircraft during the Current , Tenth and Eleventh Five Years Defence Plans.

so it is not wrong to guess that the 10th plan is underway….
and the report says about ” proposal for acquisition of a few squadron of Mirage-2000-5 in the 10th and 11th plan

787 was the third production airplane and thus is a high time airframe. The waviness is characteristic of an aluminum airframe that has seen lots of flexure during its years of yankin’ & bankin’. While waviness is not desirable in a VLO airplane as it increases the fuzzball, it is normal and to be expected.

    FLANKER_MAN:

I first noticed the ripples when it was raining – they were very pronounced – but I didn’t photograph it.The effect was rather less dramatic as the rain stopped – but you can still see them.

    djcross…
now that surely isn’t a characteristic of an aluminium airframe…?
how does the “waviness” of an aluminium airframe ‘expand’ when its raining and ‘contract’ when the rain has subsided….

ok folks…. i am also not too sure if the pic i posted is an IAF chopper or not…
actually i was lookin on the net for a Mi-17 with six rocket launchers…
since the IAF posses Mi-17s and that this particular pic has it, i posted the pic…
my intention was not to create another round of arguments…. if the pic is of any problem then let me know… i’ll remove it.. simple 🙂

ISRO is working on a GSLV-Mk III which will be able to carry a payload of 4 tonnes in geo-stationary orbit… and 10 tonnes in low earth orbit….

Apart from this ISRO has already initiated work on an unmanned mission to the moon… and that will be using the PSLV…
