All the time I hear American technology is superior, hypersuperior than the Russians. Russians only immitate give me a break, but why is it that America for 60 years was afraid to really test her superior weapons on an inferior opponent. In the macho fight game as boxing I always hear individuals who feel themselves superior call out inferior opponents who they could easily knock-out until otherwise. In the subconscious mind,it is another case of fear and uncertaity which translates into cowardice.

If they have money, and due to politics they can’t get it let them go to the Russsians, SU-30 are there to be sold afterall SU-30 beat those F-15Es handsdown in excercises in India SU-30MKI’s. MIG-35s are also available or even MIG-29 OVTs. Why should they waist time and be worried.

America is everything under sun. America gives ultimatum to to its enemies and if not observed Whoom!!!,Bang,Bang,Bang!!! it is on them. Does anybody remember what happened in the Tonga bay, Pristina airport on July 12th and 1961 in Cuba. Any Nation that is hyper superior in all aspects doesn’t run or
quench when faced with equally powerful or equally less powerful an adversary cowardice heh.

I don’t think the Russians have ever waisted a dime or a cent on any high-tech military product be it in aerospace or weapon system, but America paid $400 million to just acquaint themselves with space technology in terms of the Space station development, design and construction. They offered to acquire the S-300 anti-missile defence system for better understanding of state-of-the-art defence technology, surely to help them get some knowledge
to build their own defence system ABM.

We have been hearing and reading time and again that Russian aerospace tech and aircrafts-fighters are inferior with generation gaps in sophistication, but why is that any Nation who is lightyears ahead of her adversary and a sort technological juggernaut is still not able to really make a move to engage him for almost 60years now.

We talk about consumer products, don’t worry Russian minds have been deprived of any radical inroads in that arena due to their political system.
It will change and is about to change. It took 10,000 programmers to developed Windows Vista, and out of this number Russians contributed the
most important aspect of the project followed by Indians.by and large all these people would one day realize that it pay to go back to their own countries to start make contribution to national reconstruction regardless of the reward.

😀 Every Nation can be a Superpower in her own right.Even Somalia can call itself a superpower if she fells good about it. What is a defintion of a Superpower. Is it a country that instructs others to obey her commands?
The U.S instructs the Europeans, the Africans, the South Americans and some Asians excluding China. But the U.S as a superpower has its limits and this stops with Russia.
For example the U.S instructs almost any European country not sell arms to Iran and Venezuela, they didn’t do it,they were a little bit scared of the U.S. Is the U.S able to prevent Russia, No, What does that tell you about the world’s only superpower who can’t act completely as a Superpower totally. By logic what do you think Russia is ? A superpower in her right. If you have two heavyweights who have not face each other in the ring and yet one cannot intimidate the other, how do you claim one is more dominant than the order except by wishful thinking, that is the U.S and Russian relationship. The U.S feels good when respected by third world countries and European and poor East Asian countries.

Comparisons between ****-pits are made here funny. The Chinese ****-pits
look spoofy and bling-bling those are the hallmarks of copy cat giants. There is nothing under the hood. Russians strive at functionality not fanciness.

From Russia with 1 million pounds of thrust.

Is the leader of China not ashamed to always sit in and fly with an aircraft not made by chinese in the 21st century? That is the precise reason the Americans bugged their presidential aircraft which was ordered from Boeing.

According to a statement made by a Russian general recently should the U.S deploy laser weapons in space they the Russians would take a robust response by deploying weapons systems in space to annihilate those weapons during confrontation. This would be a detonation of nuclear weapons in outer space, but also acknowledging that it fallout from such weapons would also affect their orbital constellation systems, but Americans would be at greater disadvantage.

Soviets haven’t been defeated in Aghanistan, heck. I tell you what, the U.S is scared like a growling dog, to fight in North Korea again. North Korea would test and test and test nuclear weapons and the U.S can’t do a thing about it,except to yell, yell, and yell.
The whole world is watching how North Korea has been sticking its jab into America’s face time and again, What could America do?,as the world’s only self-styled military superpower?
The Soviets did what you are also doing in Iraq at the moment-quargmire, if you pack and run you are defeated, the U.S would pack and run as early as 2010.At least the Soviets held on a little bit longer.

Those North Koreans can fight, check the Korean war.Asians can fight they are not Arabs- be careful. They held the U.S,South Korea and 8 other countries under the U.N alliance to a standstill. That is the reason why we still have North and South Korea as a divided country. It would come to the same stalemate, should there be any war. The only people who would be affected are the people of both North and South Korea.
Emphasies shouldn’t not be placed much on modern qualitative aspect of the game too much. See the chaos in Iraq and Afghanistan, things are falling apart that the centre can no longer hold, and on the Korean peninsular it would be cataclysmic -Peace.

If anything is proven to be the best, just by word of mouth,it should be proven beyond
reasonable doubts, and should step to the plate to compete with the challenger- MIG-29OVT, at least at airshows. It happens in real world. What wartime?,only to confront first generation vannila MIG-29’s of 1970,s design during war?
What is sensitive? Is Raptor going to be dismantled at airshows to spectators to take a view of the internal aspects of the aircraft or just to be flown by an U.S pilot
who would have a complete and sole access to the machine than anybody else?
Let’s see the showdown happen now?

The Raptor is there, the MIG29-OVT is there,Paris and farnborough airshow come annually.
Let have them go at the manouvrebility show to prove their mettle. I think the MIG29-OVT is ready and willing to go now. Is the Raptor ready or afraid? Just next year 2007 summer.

The only solution to this problem is direct bilateral negotiations which is in itself is not an appeasement. There is no other approach except this one at least. Some of the member countries to the six-party talk format are in favour of this, South-Korea,China,and Russia would all be willing to have it a trial. Machoism and arrogance should be out of the equation when dealing with a country like North Korea, this is not Iraq and Afghanistan or Serbia. Kim is not mad, Kim is a savvy individual. For over 50 years after the Korean war which other country in this world has constantly been harrasing them, just to show them how powerful that country is and can dictate?
Naval embargo against North-Korea could be taken an act of war. Certainly South-Korea wouldn’t agree to it,neither would China and Russia. Should a total war breakout it is they the South-Koreans who will take a blunt of the casualties- hundreds of thousands if not million would perish on both sides of the Koreans.
Also 30000 American soldiers, and whatever re-enforcements besides this would also die. Think about a powerful 1.2 million standing army and over 4 million reservists who are also well trained.Their airforce would have an obselete equipment, but air campaign cannot win a war on the Korean peninsula, it is ground forces of a conventional army that could do so. I hope the Democrats could turn this around in 2 years time hopefully if they could be in office.

I think the U.S must have a bilateral engagement with the North Koreans that is the only card in town now. When two machos meet there is always an action and reaction which is equal and opposite, aka “Newtons third dynamics law”.
