I have followed the WWII intensively on DISCOVERY CHANNEL for almost 2 years and read number of books. Sure the U.S lend a helping hand by way of trucks and others. I remember the Maltilda tanks offered were all melted and used for the production of a more efficient T34 which really won the war. Remember the best elite soldiers were deployed , a huge 492 battalion- about 6million soldiers, which I think was 92% of the total force. Think about the battle of KURSK the greatest ever fought tank battle in the history of warfare- 5000 tanks on each side, the best the Germans could muster. I haven’t seen any U.S fighters flown by the Russians. Russia used their own bombers and fighters explicitly. And the insane old man said,”generals and soldiers go out and kick the rotten edifice of Russians”, and Wilson Churchil said on 26th September 1942 “The Russians took the gut out of the German war machine”,and we have witnessed a great Nation at war in the history of mankind. Russia could have won the war too if the the Germans solely attacked them first. The Russians immediately or near simultaneously were helping the chinese defeat the Japanese and even the U.S were planning to seek Russians help to put finishing touches to Japenese in the Pacific.
Yeah Russia who sells oil for revenue is a 3rd world country, fine Great, they are more than happy with such contemptible accolades. Nigera,Venezuela,Iran,Iraq,Saudi Arabia,Kuwait,Angola and some others are all 3rd world countries. But I don’t think the U.S had ever paid $400 million to any of these countries to just gain cutting edge space technology knowledge in terms of teaching them how to really go about hanging it. I don’t think spies from the U.S always took it to lenghs to go about stealing their state-of-the-art technologies, just as the Russian spies tried to steal that of the U.S.
Don’t worry Russians would no sooner after learning the art of market economy, trade and commerce would also start to make fridges,VCRs,radios, building materials, textiles, soft drinks, electronic gadgets, pharmaceutical products and what nots to start making money just like the U.S has been doing over 200 years ago.
They are young in this aspect. The CIA has no credibility, they can even make the difference between AK-47 and nuclear device in Iraq. I don’t think a country, a 3rd world by our earthly rank even though God created a single world without any classification can dare hold the “mightiest of all mighty nation on mother earth” at bay for over 60years, avoiding a scary conflict with that 3rd world country. Get the paradox and logic, heh?
Yes few billion dollars– you called $387 billion dollars a liquid real cash few dozens.
It doen’t matter how much you earn as a GDP, but living on borrowed times and budget overruns to make ends meet is not what the theme is. Do you know how much it costs to develop the vaunted untested Raptor.Russians don’t need such useless technology to make things happen. The yet to field Bulava ICBMs in its trial-$10million a piece is what they are thinking about. Something that they will use in annihilation, whereby both sides wouldn’t exist 30 minutes after the adventure.
Even having 15000 raptors wouldn’t make the U.S dare to make a slightest move for a confrontation. 60 years have past where such technologies-stealth were used on poor and defenseless nations. And #1 economy, yes but if you borrow money from allies to embark on useless technology,so be it. Let them do what they want with their meager funds, but they are clever at waisting it.I am saying they paid their debt outright something unimaginable in 50 years in the history of Paris Club. You keep waisting money while being in debt, fine for the U.S.For Russia I think it is a disgrace to soak himself in debt to pretend as if she is reach.
No electronic component is 100% produced in the U.S if you think the aircraft processors have solely been produced without any component originating or being processed outside of the U.S then you must be joking.
How much does it cost to develop a 5th generation aircraft if the will is there financially? Remember Russia just paid a lump sum of $23,737,038,657.61 debt to the Paris Club, from liquid cash in their foreign exchange reserve of over $300 billion and not to mention their surplus of $82 billion of oil revenues in their Stabilization funds.
Let me tell you that America or the U.S can’t paid any real liquid cash of such magnitude without borrowing. Do you know your debt? It is a gargantuan $5.8 trillion of which $2.5 trillion is being serviced by foreign countries.
Russians aren’t worried about such things like 5th generation stealth aircrafts now. They just want to get something on a par for export markets if need be.
They are interested in developing state-of-the art ICBMs to do the job when the situation arises. They are not thinking about jets to do the job,but rather sophiscated ICBMs the like of Bulava unparalled in the world to do the annihilation once and for all, so that you don’t come out of tha ash the next 30 times to boast.
Now dismantle any American aircraft or piece of military or civilian hardware and check to see if 90% of computerised components-semiconductors are not from Japan in the 60,s and recently from Taiwan and South Korea. That alone tells you a lot.Do the same thing to any Russian hardware produced in the 60,s to 90,s and you would find that all are Russian,no matter the quality.
