I assume that it is the Hurricane that used to belong to Tim Wallis. Here is a picture taken at Wanaka in 2006.

I don’t remember if these aircraft were in the film. They were seen at Blackbushe in 1979 together with some Ju-52’s and other historics.

I found this picture of XV582 when it was still in service and thought it might be of interest. It was taken at Mildenhall in 1990.

Was it this aircraft that used to fly in formation with an A-10 at airshows in the UK ?
I didn’t see the P-47 and A-10 flying together but I have this picture of the two of them taken at a special photo shoot at RAF Alconbury in 1988.

Interesting photos of 5518 undergoing routine maintenance at the SAAF Museum. There are only two techs who were that short – me being one of them!
The mop of ginger hair on the outer tech in the first image is none other than yours truly – albeit many years ago
I’m afraid that I haven’t got a full frontal pic of you. This rear view is the only one I have.
The intention is indeed to get the aircraft flying again. As can be seen from the pictures before and after it’s crash, it needs a complete rebuild. Fuselage and wing jigs have got to be built but the project doesn’t have drawings of them although they have seen jigs at Duxford and have photos of them. Also they don’t have much money behind them and seem to be relying, at this stage, on a team of volunteers. It seems like it is going to be a very long term project, in spite of the obvious enthusiasm.
Probably not a lot of use to you, depending what you had in mind. On a visit to Moorabbin Air Museum (Australia) in 2006, the staff at the museum kindly let me have a look inside the aircraft.
