    Yes, I’d agree with the last comment. An excellent show (as usual).

    Shame about the commentator – started going on about taking his wife’s hormone replacement tablet at one stage – a new first for an airshow ?

    Definitely.

    Given the problems and costs of getting WW2 aircraft back to flight status, the relative complexity of a Lightning makes it virtually impossible (and that’s before you look at the noise and safety regulations nowadays).

    Yes, I agree – we won’t see another flight in the UK by a Lightning unless a fan wins the lottery and decides to give all of the money towards a project and the CAA has a rush of blood to the head and ignores potential safety problems.

    A shame, but that’s reality.
