    Yeah, your right!
    Very disturbing.

lack of safety devices, and a very likely unapproved smelter!

Would have been nice if they saved a few.
You know, just in case someone actually wanted a lawn ornament!

How did he do that with no elevators or rudder amazing, do you what altitude he was when it happened?

You don’t need rudder once airborne.
And there is a little bit of the elevator left.

Remeber that B-17, for got the name, that had its entire rudder ripped off, as well as an entire horizontal removed by a ramming Bf-109?

It too made it back to base after a long, long flight.

    So, possible?
    Absolutely.
But I bet he was sweating bullets and cussing the rammer the rest of the day! :diablo:

I feel very dubious of this product.

LIVE is geared to the XBox platform, so it may be more geared to console players then true simmers.

Ever since the large work force reduction for its Flight Sin dept, there are been a big question if MFS is on life support.

    Stunning model!!

    Just priceless!

I don’t know why, but the moment I saw this, I knew you life in England (no, saw the water mark after).
I did live in Sussex for a few years, must have helped. 🙂

    JDK is right.

Sandy (what I am calling her) will need a really good, long bath before she can go out in the open air. Oxygen, after all, is the oxidizer that causes much corrosion,

Maybe they will apply of chemical or electrical therapy as well.

The compact nature of the “pencils” will make finding a tank easier. Looking at manuals, they where made of easy field disassembly for transport to repair shops. In a pinch, weld 2 regular shipping containers together.

I would hope that Sandy is restored to nearly airworthy status.

    S!

    FANTASTIC NEWS!!

Reading all the details on the many other sites, it may be in a very sorry shape, but considering this is the best sample left in the world (seems like the Holland Do-215 is doomed to rot into sand, no will to even put it on dry land), I am thrilled something is being done!

I alway thought the BoB museum in Hendon just is not legitimate unless it has a Do-17 (and a proper Ju-88A-4).

    Little background about me:
Part of my youth was spent in UK, right as the 40th BoB anniversary was on, and it made an indelible mark.
In 2003 a disagreement concerning the Do-17’s lead me on a path of intense research and many surprising discoveries, including that nearly every book published before 2002 is simply wrong.

Now I have several hundreds photos, documents, and other material to set the records straight, and have contributed to the Do-17 (and LW) Wikipedia project.
