Its sad that the UK had such a hard post war recovery that a few more RAF Heavies including Lancasters, Halifaxes and Stirlings could not be found good homes.
The US also melted down almost all historical wartime aircraft.
Almost as bad as UK.
I think Norway did any effort, but then lost most due to hangar collapse after heavy snow (I was told).
Very happy no serious injuries (except ego maybe, wallet defiantly)
What I see on review:
Right wing obviously gone, outboard of gear.
Tail slammed down on ground, collapsing tail wheel and denting at least the rudder.
Right gear collapse…
…causing the propeller to hit ground at <5 mph (looked to be near stop).
The engine was at idle, propeller hit soft ground, so I doubt any engine problem.
If propeller is straight then IMHO engine is OK. Naturally a careful inspection of prop and hub in order.
Regardless, expensive to fix, and that is if the jigs for the Yak 3 still around.
On a good note, if they stick it in a museum, will take up less space. 😛 (ok, cheap joke to add some levity)

52’s never used 323 AFAIK. I guess it was due to excessive fuel consumption (thus the Do 17P also did not use 323).
Do 24, Fw 200, those used 323, but of course none of those are flying.

All restorations stand on 3 legs, a Budget, a Business Plan, and a Timeline. It sounds like only one was in place here.
I’m not saying fraud, but obviously LH was not monitoring this program adequately.

The facility is on a private airport, does not wish (allow?) visitors flying in to see. Secretary said liability reasons, which with lawyers is understandable.

Amazing, just third grade education, saw an aircraft first time a few days prior, and amazingly beat out a few hundred other candidates to be chosen to eventually fly jets.
More amazing he did not kill himself in accident or shot down by US, eventually getting 7 kills in an hopelessly outdated fighter.
