They’ll still have the FRADU Hawks Dave, though it would be much better if they were Hunters!
The FAA may still have one or two Harrier T.8s on strength next year as well.
A Harrier to join the Historic Flight? Yes please. :diablo:
Did the Strikemaster or JP display?
Any Harrier flying is a fine sight but I was expecting the Royal Navy to make a maximum effort on the day.
A nine ship would have put the Reds to shame.
Nine Sea Harriers bowing farewell. Oh, well may be another time?
How about a Vietnam gunship with loads of replica miniguns out of the windows? 😀
Good idea, would make a great display along with some Skyraiders and Hueys!
Does that mean the Seafury is at the back of the que ? Hope not.
I sure I saw some work underway on the Beaufighter on Sunday. 🙂
I didn’t go today (10th), but may go Sun.
I’ve just come out of the photo forum and feel I must comment on the show.
Must thank everyone for their efforts in terrible conditions.
Who was flying lead on the 11 Spitfires?
How much for the programme and flight line hop (walk?)?
Do most cars have to park over the road now?
Sorry if I’ve offended anyone on this forum but.. 😡
takes the **** really, family of 4 has a bloody expensive day out, or perhaps the powers that be think families don’t want to go on the flight line walk.
AF (Ex BBMF)
Too true.
Looks too expensive for the published list and length of flying display.
So now, to get a decent position, your have to pay another five pounds! 😡
Might give it a miss – would be the first time for 15 years.
What’s it like at the Land Warfare – any enclosures?
I’ll be interested in the costing of this airshow against Biggin Hill or Shoreham.
No Cranberry either 🙁
Septic, the reason Delta did not join the static with the reds was that we were told to park on the other side of the runway. You may have noticed that as soon as the reds had vacated, we moved across!
Cheers
Dees
Most excellent arrival. Shame you weren’t booked to display on the Saturday.
Shame we can’t have some more of Air Atlantique’s finest along for the flying display. :diablo:
.. and some Hunters.
Love the jumping aeroplanes on the virtual tour. If you move your mouse very slowly up and down as the aircraft is off the ground it gives, with the flames coming out the back and the shadow on the ground, the impression of it flying along.
Sad I know.

A flying Vulcan what ever next? :diablo:
No Harrier?
Great site though!
Great photographs everyone.
Picking a good location seems to be very important.
Maybe a thread should be opened for the best place to be, at each show, to get those “great shots” ?
Was the display line even further away from the crowd at RIAT 2005 than usual?
Have the operators sorted out the insurance for the Meteor yet?
I had been expecting her to fly at Kemble.
Rather like number three pic.
If you ever need someone to serve the flask and sandwiches… :diablo:
North Weald has the C-54s, but no blue Spitfire hanger.
Oh yes, it was a market day too. 😀
Brilliant!
Location? Bruntingthorpe! Why Lightnings x 2 based,Buccaners x2? based ,Dh Comet based, Victor k2 based ,Vulcan ok presently in bits based, oh and a bloody long runway suitable for B52 ops, and near the centre of the country and near a motorway. 😀
Foreign participants Viggen still available just ,Draken, F104, F4 phantoms still available,Mig 21 from Romania and a Bear to round it off with flourish!
Alaso what about some Wasps and whirlwinds and the Sikorsky form germany? and a wessex from?
Cold War aircraft, with as many “blue” and as many “red” as possible participating? Sounds good to me.
