As for candidates for a film around a single person I am sure there are many. Richard Hillary comes to mind which could also feature the incredible work of Archibald McIndoe and the controversial return to flying resulting in Hillary’s death and that of Wilfred Fison.

I have always thought The Last Enemy would, if done properly, make a fantastic adaptation. As you say it could highlight the revolutionary work of McIndoe.

Tragic news. My condolences to his friends and family.

I think Red Tails has been harshly criticised. Every flaw has been picked apart. I find the CGI fluctuates from very realistic to very PC pilot, the plot is predictable and some of the acting is questionable but it makes a nice change to watch a rare modern foray into a mainstream aerial combat film rather than some air headed rom com.

If you really watch Battle of Britain some of it’s truly awful. Hotchpotch editing, wooden acting, wooden spitfires and the less said about the love story the better. Yet it is still the benchmark for film of that genre.

Visted Lambeth in the summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although I understand the complaints of the post it note style display boards.
I would agree with Moggy, it takes a day just to take in the WW1 and Holocaust exhibitions, sadly ran out of time so didn’t manage to see all of the Holocaust one.
I do not have a particular interest in WW1 but I count that as one of the finest exhibitions I have seen in a British museum for some time. My partner who has no real interest in history didn’t mind that we ate 3 hours of precious time we could have spent shopping so it must have been good.
