Good. Should make it easier for IAF to select Mi-28N.

The clip at 1:09 min has a schematic of the new krivaks. Its grainy but I couldn’t spot the single arm launchers
LIke? VLS Shtil-1?
THey launched brahmaputra without SAM’s they are capable of launching Kolkota with just barak-1 and then plugging in Barak-2’s.
AFAIK the second batch Talwars wil get Brahmos rather than Club but otherwise little difference in armaments. IRRC P15A will be the first to receive VL Shtil.
There was a report on RT sometime back on the launch of new Talwars. The CG shown clearly showed VLS Shtil not single arm launchers.
IAF will never buy C-17 rest assured. They will most likely order the Il-76 MF.
The newer talwars I thought were getting VLS Shtil-1. Why not the same for p-17’s?
Thats not an eye. It represents the glass canopy and probably meant to warn where the canopy breaks off during ejection.
What about P-17’s? Will they have this or Shtil-1?
The article seems bogus considering 2052 is AESA and no MMR. It might be 2032.
J-10 higher quality :rotfl:. Can I have some of what you are smoking. As long as IAF stays away from sewer hornet they should be fine. The F-16’s are a joke compared to MKI..the lesser said about Jf-17 and mirage-3 fleet the better. The numbers do matter which means Tejas needs to be inducted in numbers starting 2010. MKI+Rafale can hold the fort well against anything china may have in the next 2 decades and PAK-FA after that.
This brings up a possible scenario where Saudi Arabia’s 72 Eurofighters face off against Israel’s 75 F-35s. It would be an interesting matchup.
Why? Any sane person would expect the F-35 to win hands down. EF carrying missiles will be spotted miles away and will be at a disadvantage.
It better not be based on 25 aircrafts. Would come to a whopping 600 mil per pop.
I confrm, but not about the deal period. There is a clause that the sub should be returned to Russia immediately “if force majeure circumstances arise”. Apart from the obvious (war and the like), the deal lists “operational requirements of the Russian Navy and High Command” as a case in point. The deal is renewable only if the Russian Navy agrees and necessitates another lease deal. The lease deal is explicitely a research deal and not a combat duty lease. But otherwise you’re right: it’s not the first time it happens anyway, in the good old Soviet days the Indians got a lot of experience exactly through such deals.
What other experiences? Other than the charlie class Chakra nothing else was leased by IN. Adm Mehta did mention that the akula were being leased for training perhaps till the ATV hits the water.
Well since no pics exist yet of this vaporware, how confident are we that it will actually fly next year and match up to F-22 or even F-35? I can’t see GOI or IAF putting any money without seeing how the russian version performs.
