Any new pix of this years event yet!? Cant wait to see PAF F-16s in Europe for the first time….!
The same reason Pakistan is requesting P-3Cs and AMRAAMS against “terrorists” đ
yeah, no big deal, we became a Major Non NATO Ally yet we still need to wait YEARS till we get F-16s, probably wont be allowed anything that we really need like F-35, Apaches etc……..
The “Sense” of Congress is very bizarre indeed……
Well, now you know how displaced and state persecuted people around teh world feel like….
đ
can we spafre 15,000 men!? Thats an entire div!!!!!!!!
could it be that training with all those US F-16Cs and Euro F-16AMLUs coupled with this news mean something!?
WASHINGTON: The United States viewed President General Pervez Musharraf as the âbest manâ at the helm of Pakistanâs affairs and that the country was heading towards democracy, said Richard Armitage, the deputy secretary of state for the US, on Thursday.
Asked about President Musharrafâs uniform, Mr Armitage said that US Secretary of State Colin Powell has already issued a statement that President Musharraf and the people of Pakistan would decide whether he should shed or keep uniform after December 31.
Mr Armitage said that the US and Pakistan had made headway on the issue of the delivery of F-16 fighter planes to Pakistan.
He said that the US had already delivered helicopters and night vision equipment to Pakistan. The US was aware of the Pakistani Air Forceâs defence requirements, he said. Mr Armitage praised Pakistanâs effort to purge the region of terrorism. âAnti-terror operations by Pakistan have reduced Taliban capabilities to sabotage the Afghan presidential polls,â he said while talking to the Internal Relations Committee in Washington.
Mr Armitage said that Taliban attacks had reduced in the past few weeks and a change in the US government would not affect Pak-US relations. Mr Armitage said that the issue of sending Pakistani troops to Iraq was not discussed during President Musharrafâs visit to the US and Pakistan would itself decide whether to commit troops or not. He said that Pak-US relations would not be affected irrespective of the decision Pakistan makes.
Mr Armitage praised Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and called him a talented and capable person.
On Indo-Pak relations, he said that the joint statement of September 24 would help normalise relations between the nuclear neighbours. online
doh! Oh yeah! :p
Looks like its the boys from 9sqd “The Dragons”…….. :dev2:
so, if there is no LCA, what will IAF use to replce its 500+ fleet of MIG-21/23/27s!?
Your right, PAF will have the oldest and least capable F-16s, other then Italy, who will also be operating F-16As with no MLU…..
Yeah, but the US wanted the LAVI off the market and flooded Isreal with cheap F-16s, no real comparison as the LAVI had no serious engine set backs……
Can India (or does India even want to) go to all the trouble integrating another type of engine? I think they will go for F404, if not, then the LCA is destined to become a technology demonstrater, perhaps more so if the IAF purchase 125 M2K-5s………
I dont see anything wrong with just wacking another engine (from either Russia/US/France) into the plane and just getting a move on with the LCA, otherwise it mya never end up in service…..
Interestingly enough, although Pakistan was mentioned on the official site, it seems PAF’s attendence was not publicised and there are no photos of PAF aircraft or personnel……
well, it will be god to get some of our boys up and running on AWAC intercept procedures for when we get our Erieyes……
