Have we given these birds RWR and chaff/flare!?
PII I dont think its wise to take whatever the IDF say as gospel! Likewise with the Syrians! As someone pointed out, the truth may lie somewhere in between!
Lets also not forget that in more recent Arab vs Israel encounters, the IDF have had overwhelming technological superiority!
Basically fighting the IDF is teh equivelent of fighting the USAF minus the Stealths! :)u
Fromn what little I know, they are limited to daylight CAS duties using rockets and iron “dumb” bombs and can carry Durandel for airbase strike
Can anyone post pix of the stored UH-1Hs and AH-1Fs in New York and Texas that are bound for Pakistan!?
light troop transport/utility to replace Aloutte 3s perhaps!?
Steve
I think the 407s are slightly too big for scouting! Surely they would be better used for light utility!? A 206 (like Kiwoa Warrior) is ideal though….
Does anyone know how many Bell 206s are assigned to each Cobra sqd!? Also, if we are getting more Cobras, are we ordering extra Bell 206s to scout for them!?
Brilliant pix guys! Many thanks!
Cant wait to see pix of our “new” AH-1Fs and UH-1Hs!
Coperation would make sense, the HAL Dhruv seems ideal for Pakistan army to replace Bell 206s, Alouttes and UH-1s, but I just dont see it happening……….
Portagul! Thats super! Where did you get that updated invetory list from!?
Its too big to send mate! It was a pic of a Puma and MI-17 in formation!
East meets west! Pakistan Army style!
Bugger, could not attach image!
Great pix Flex! Although the camo aloutte is an Air Force example, Pak army do not get involved in SAR…..I think!
Yes Flex, sea kings belong to the Navy
I did not include the sole MI-24, as I dont think its operational
Money has always been a problem for Pakistan and India Flex, we are poor countries, let us not forget that.
Economically, Pakistan is much better off then it was in the 90s for various reasons.
I think all the MI-17s were civilian and modified in Pakistan for military purposes. I think we havea total of 30 now but not sure.
I think Pakistans army is becoming more and more mobile with teh addition of so many choppers. I know for a fact there is a requirment to form an Air Assault Brigade within Pakistan Army consisting of 2 air assault battalions and 1 airborne battalion
I will open another thread on that, as I dont think there is any up to date information about Pak Armys chopper fleet, 40 new Bells, 40 UH-1s and 40 extra AH-1Fs will help out alot!
