I think they give their vehicles different colours depending where they will be deployed, the deserty one is probably for units based in the desert near Pakistan….

If you read the end of the article, it states that having AWACS leads to a more stable region if all countries have it!
Arthur’s logic (and the articles) infers that if that were the case, India would be contributing to regional stability by giving Pakistan 2 AWACS! He is just pointing out the absurdity of the article….

Now your Hinds may have a harder time in anti tank duties then Pakistani cobras…thats for sure!

And regarding the Cobra, the AH-1F simply IS obsolete, underpowered and day-only capable. I do not doubt its historical importance for Israel but the reasons why it is widely used are mainly financial. If the F is that modern and capable, why did Bell develop its Zulu upgrade then? Look at the features Zulu has got: two T700 engines, night capability, improved armor protection. All the things F Cobra is lacking. Live with it. Point

The cobras are being provided free of charge, Pakistan is just paying for their refurb, so less Children going hungry then if we had purchased the Gorshkov! 🙂

If you think 60 Cobras wont change a thing I dearly wish you could become a General in the Indian Army…..because if they think like that I would not like to be a young Indian tanker….

As discussed the AH-1F may not be the most modern attack chopper, but it is not facing the most modern army….full stop!
