Matt
Thats not really the point I was making, my point is that I cannot think of a single arms deal India has managed to thwart. Any deals we have not concluded were becuase of a shortage of Cash….
IDF F-16Is and F-15I can be refuled mid air over Turkey and fly over Iraq ( a request the US would not deny them methinks) and strike at Iranian targets anyhwhere, they can then head back over Iraq and refuel again………..
Everyone knows what wepons and planes the IDF have and I am sure there pilots would be up to the task….
The same way India “pressured” Ukraine into not selling us 300 engines for Al Khalid!?
The same way India “pressured” France into not selling us 3 Agosta 90b subs!?
The same way India “pressured” South Africa into not selling Pakistan missiles!?
Think you need a BIG reality check on the way the arms trade works my friend, money talks, Bulls**t walks…….
China could not stop France selling 60 M2K-5s to Tawain, India can sit around and cry all it wants while Pakistan aqquires more weapons…..
Aditya
You are wrong, they were taken in Lahore in 2002….
I am sure someone who orginally took them can confirm this.
SOC according to this US report
http://www.fas.org/asmp/profiles/ai…cbj11-sasia.pdf
Pakistan is in line to recive UH-1s, AH-1s and P-3Cs from the US, yet this did not stop the US offering India P-3s…..
Sweden supplied Pakistan with RBS-70s and allowed Pakistan to licence produce them, yet at teh same time sold India Bofors guns.
Its is not a zero sum game and it is perfectly possible for nations such as France, US and Sweden to sell to both sides…….money talks!
SOC
Maybe, may be not, but like the Gorshkov, Scorpene and other deals , the Indian interest in buying 120 M2K-5s has been on for a long time. The French will sell to anyone , the y jumped at teh chance of total technology trransfer and MESMA system (the first for any submarine in the world) when Pakistan purchased Agosta 90B, I am sure India may have not been to happy, but teh French did it anyway, it will simply be a matter of you puts their money where their mouth is, it could be India or Pakistan…….
Victor, if it really hurts you to read of an increae in Pakistani air power and you dont have any thing to contribute, then is it worth actually posting flames!?
SOC
Pakistan is looking at the J-10 and other aircraft to fufill its high tech fighter requirment, this has been going on for 10 LOOOONG years now, at first there was a problem with finance, thankfully Pakistans economy has imporved and now there is a decision to be made between J-10/M2K-9/Rafale…..
SOC
Very true and Ironic, but then again, Pak has shown interest in J-10 which has alot of Lavi input…….
Also, I really dont see Israel and Pakistan fighting each other anytime soon, yes, they are not the best of friends…but I really dont see F-16I’s trying to bomb Sarghoda anytime soon…….
Victor
It may be funny for you, in which case, let us get on with it, if you need laughs may I suggest Bill Hicks. In fact it seems so funny that Indian media are also reporting it! Or let me guess your nest message Indian media are also part of this big Pakistani conspiracy to fool the world!? Yes!?

Oh dear Indian 1973, your were the very first person on this thread to mention anything about race. Well done! A inferiority complex oir just in dire need to start a flame!?
“tests? Rapiers needed hundreds before service entry! Speaks volumes about (the lack of) quality conciousness in pakistan.
Last time I heard this, H-x missile was an off-boresight WVRAAM, like the PL-8/9. T-darter has’nt been sold to pakistan, nor has the any darter series. Not one single airborne radar used by the PAF can even detect, forget track, a target at 120 km.
Now it’s a bomb and also a BVR missile and it can evade radar and it’s “out of sight”
India does’nt have the Python-4 either. So the PAF official does’nt even have a clue as to what enemy no.1’s inventory is!
Either this is some fool’s poor attempt at a prank or really dumb journalist’s BS which a lot of the usual nationalists are falling for.”
Ahh, how nice to see a flame already! Yes, there was alot of mistakes in teh report, but I imagine it would comfort you to think this whole thing is a prank………… maybe the 2 Agosta 90B subs in Pak Navy service a prank too huh!? Yet these were reported by the very same newspaper….
No one said any Darter missile was sold to Pakistan, they say this was a modification of the Darter. This implies technology transfer. If Pakistan can licence produce Grifo radars, then licence producing our own version of South African missiles will not be beyond the realms of possibility.
PAF now has BVR……………………
At long bloody last! Welln done PAF, goes to show they were not sleeping for the past few years with regard to BVR!
I like the way we did not annunce this till the missiles are fully operational rather then loudly proclaim we are inducting this or that! Nice work, and thank you Republic of South Africa, true friends of Pakistan!
Seahawk
There has been talk of re starting teh P-3C production line, if not could they not upgrade some P-3Bs to P-3C 2.5 (Version Pak Navy has)!?
Guys, sunce when did this become the the Indian Air Force News thread!? 🙁
Just ignore the flamers, they evehntually tire themselves out.
Anyway, looks like AH-1s and P-3Cs for Pakistan next year…..
Sorry h177, what was the point of the above post, was it to state that the E-2 is better then teh E-3 or Phalcon!? If so, where was this stated, basically teh article says that teh E-2 is very advanced, I bet the UAE would have preffered an E-3 to the E-2, thats why France, UK, Saudi and the US use the E-3 for AWACS and not the E-2…….
