Well, all the past three incident recently seem to indicate technical problems (mainly undercarriage) rather then pilot error. M2K maintenence definately needs to be closely looked at now

And keep up the good work…
Viva la France! The thing does not seem to have a designator!
were people not saying the contract for 6 Scorpenes was a done deal, now there is a “competition”…..what gives!?
does anybody know what airfoce this jet belongs to?
Thats an early Indian Air Force MIG-21, only the Indians paint the tircolour on the tail of their aircraft in such a large size……..
Yes.. You have lost the arms race with India more than a decade ago, after you have been frozen with Mirage IIIs and F-16As, you became significantly smaller and weaker, why not admit it? You all know that a major war with India will never materialize, so why bother pushing at any price like you try to do?
Disagree here.. First, getting your hands onto AMRAAM is politically impossible at the time, anyway. Second, if pigs flied and AMRAAM would be cleared for PAF, the whole operation of upgradation of your current F-16 fleet to BVR standard would practically equal to buying new fleet of Charlie Vipers, ergo a massive financial overkill for your country. I know many countries with several times higher living standard than in Pakistan (Slovenia, Slovak Republic, Croatia etc.) which are not desperately striving to throw the last money they got out of the window for some useless sparkling gizmo flying things so a chosen few jockeys could have their dream job.
In terms of fighter aircraft, the best solution for Pakistan would be trying to integrate the FC-1 and K-8 production and development as close to Pakistan as possible. They are medium tech aircraft, a very good start for a country with very little experience on this field. And to satisfy your filthy desire for high-tech, a dozen or two of J-10s in five years could do the job well..
Just my 0.02, of course..
Dude
Its not a case of winning or losing. Pakistans defence was secured in 1998 the omment we went nuclear. Basically if Pakistan was in danger of being overidden, we would take as much of India down with us as possible, hence overnight, the cost of overunning Pakistan would become too high for India.
Pakistan never wants to match India for arms, we adopt a policy of “minimum deterrence”. We want the minimum amount of equipment and weaponry to make the cost of war unacceptable to India. We do not seek to invade Dehli or wipe out the Indian Army (something alomost impossible), we seek a minimum deterrence.
Slovakia and Slovak republic dont neighbour a country they have fought three wars with and who out numbers them in men and equipment approx 3-1
I would much rather we spent EVERY PENNY on education and health for every Pakistani child so that they can grow up free from want, but then again, I would want them to grow up as free people, unfortunately there is a cost to this.
Flex
On a personal note, I find your language and terms such as “your filthy money” and “your filthy desire” quite offensive. I have not knowling been rude to you or about your nation. I really dont know what I or my nation has done to make you speak like this, however, if you want to continue, I suggest we terminate things here.

just because he wrote an article stating the truth and pointing out the obvious, makes him a “clown” ??
i guess the person should be accorded more respect…
OK Nirav, I called hm a clown because I disagreed with many of his assumptions thats called MY OPNION and I am allowed it. If you want to accord this guy respect, mail or phone him, just please, please, please not on this thread! Is that OK!? Are we clear now!?
Guys
Can we give ita frickin rest!?
Can we get back to the topic? If you guys are so obsessed with this journo guy can you just PM each other!? I dont think man hy people care about this clown, or your thoughts on him….
I dont think anyone is getting their “panties in a tingle”, its good the aircraft is repariable, but IAF needs to look at the underlying reason why 2 Mirage 2000s suffered undercarriage faults within the space of a few weeks….
when do we get the pics dude!/ 😉
