Yes, just once. I had a 2 day conference there many years ago. I tried to bunk off and do some sight-seeing but I ended up sat near my CEO!!
One day I shall return, at Christmas time. And perhaps get tickets for the New Years Concert in the Phil. You can stand at the back for 30 Euro or get a decent seat for about 1,000 Euro. The cheap seats sell out years in advance, as do the very expensive ones. The mid range go rapidly too.
oh thats bad, only 2 days and than a conference. when you will return one day you must take a little more time, there is so much to see 🙂
…and when you should come, give me a call and i show you a little from vienna 😉

hi,
…at Fliegerregiment 1 in Langenlebarn i had my military service 😀 !
there you wouldn´t find someone so easy, and you can´t get in without authorisation, because thats one of the biggest barracks in austria.
i found one link from this group in tulln (next to langenlebarn). i think when you ask one of them it´s possible to get in the barracks.

-the Technische Museum Wien is very nice, http://www.tmw.at/
-also the Heeresegeschichtliche Museum, http://www.hgm.or.at/
– the Avaticum – Flugzeugmuseum at Wr. Neustadt, http://www.aviaticum.at/
you must also go to
–http://www.figlmueller.at/ because there are one of the best Wiener Schnitzel
–http://www.palatschinken.at/ is also a mußt do , there you find the best Kaiserschmarrn in the world (like pancakes) 😀
i hope you will enjoy vienna
nice regards from VIENNA, 😉

hi,
what kind of jacket type this one is, sorry i don´t know. however when you would like that your jacket look like new take for example “Shoe Polish (tins)” form ERDAL. i don´t know if this product is also outside austria available! (and when you need such a ERDAL product and you don´t find one in your country, write me a email and i would get one for you, for example)
first of all you wash your jacket with lukewarm water and a fine soap,be careful!! after that let it dry. next take some of the ERDAL polish (with the correct colour) on an old scarf and rub it very slowly in to the leather. let this dry for 24 hours, and than polish the surplus “shoe polish” from the jacket. voila your jacket is ready to wear!!!:)
I collect original german luftwaffe flying jackets from the second world war and there where also models presented in very bad condition, but after a little work they are like new 🙂
for example i show you a picture of one jacket after “restoration” ( i hope the file attach works)
hope i could help you a little
regards, Philipp
