Hi all,
We are restoring Dove 6, G-ANUW at East Midlands aeropark, this has been a long time coming but has recently started to take shape.
Unfortunately, she’ll never fly again, but will make a great exhibit when completed!
We have the percival provost WW442 at the East Midlands Aeropark 😉
Thanks for the leads you guy’s very much appreciated !
We at the east midlands aeropark have had WW442 Percival Provost which was acquired from Gatwick A.M, and XV108 VC10 front half of the fuselage !
Many thanks for your info , regards, Dave.
Still looking to aquire/loan the above, Many thanks :eagerness:
Agh, so you could use a Man portion PEC with a helmet for comms or you could use a PEC adapter and use a ground crew headset (The adapter is just for comms, i.e. engine runs by sooties etc)
I’ll keep my eyes open
Yeah that would be what we’d do, cheers !
Basically we are looking for the same unit in the above pic although the air filter assembly is not really needed, an u/s part would suffice as we are only trying to get the intercom system working on our bucc and would not be used for flying.
So in a nutshell, its the connector that we need that fits into the connection block fitted to the side of the seat that has the intercom cable fitted to it with the jack plug socket on the end !
Hope this makes sense !
Cheers, Dave.
Hi, Yes its the bit that connects to the seat connector that I’m after, Many thanks, Dave.
Cheers guys for the info and pics, the bog standard one would suffice, whatever one we can get would be great, if seen the one on ebay and have noticed that it is gbairspares thats the seller and will make contact with him, thanks once again, Regards, Dave.
I will have to get back to you with a part number, i’ll try and find it out, Cheers
Dave.
Yes, due to the size of the vc10, maintenence to the engines and tail fin/plane would be quite difficult, we have a cherry picker to hand, but even that would not be enough to reach to the very top, its a great shame really as the back end is the more iconic part of the aircraft, but hey-ho, its just great that we have secured a short piece of her from the crusher for people to admire!!
we’ve now replaced all the windows and most of the interior panelling, next we’ve got to put a galley in place and finish tidying the interior before starting to clean up the exterior.
