Two sections of 8 aircraft each taking off for an attack, one aircraft has to go back to base because it had a problem with it’s engine, 7 + 8 continue, the 8 don’t find Damascus – DUH – and go back home fully loaded, the remaining seven press on the attack and dropp their bombs so precisly at the Syrian Air Force HQ in Damascus, there were so presice that ONLY TWO BOMBS hit the roof of the building, wounding two guards, of course the REAL TARGET was indeed hit, the whole civilian area of Abu Rummaneh is on fire and 108 civilians are killed, hundreds more injured, AAA and SAMs open up, one F-4E takes a direct SA-3 hit and goes down in flames, an other takes heavy 57mm AAA damage and the scared to death RIO ejects and becomes POW, the pilot is aproached by AN AMERICAN who fought in Vietnam before and convinced not to eject, he lands the aircraft and it is written off .
so out of 16 aircraft, only 7 press the attack on, they kill 108 women and children – there were almost no men in Damascus as they were either on the front or working with the civil defense – and damage the roof of the AFHQ, NOW THAT MUST HURT .
