According to government sources, use of ground forces would have alerted the inhabitants of this particular religious school therefore the use of aerial firepower. But the problem of course is that the excessive and collective punishment used in this case will only help alleviate the image of Islamic fundamentalists in the area.

It was neither of the above. The school was destroyed by a couple of hellfires. The Army choppers did add a finishing touch to it by firing a few rockets in the end.

IMHO, I don’t think the issue with the engine is even worth discussing now. At this advance stage of this project, we’ll eventually come to know whether or not Pakistan will get RD-93 equipped FC-1s within just a few months from now. Till then both sides can hold their breath and wait for the outcome.

Superman Returns – Great cast, a good enough story and absolutely fantastic acting.

Crimson Tide – It’s the fourth time that I’ve seen this movie. Just can’t get enough of this sub flick.

Guess they haven’t watched the original then =). For me it was like watching the same movie again, the only difference being the hollywood cast and and English being the original language.

Guess someone forgot to tell the director that there is a difference between using an asian movie as an inspiration and making the same movie again without changing anything. An utter disappointment :s

The biggest disappointment of the week – The Departed. Ugh, an utter waste of money – seemed like a scene to scene copy of the original – except for the end, which too by the way was utterly predictable =(.

And just finished watching The Firm with a couple of university mates over pizza and beer. A nice flick with a decent amount of thrill induced at regular intervals. Oh and is it just me or does having friends around really takes the fun out of a thriller flick??

Rambo: First Blood – starring Stallone it’s an action flick with an actual story to back it up. They really used to make good movies back in the days.
