Core 2 Duo is the best for now… that’s till AMD brings in it’s new line up of processors.. But for now, C2D is way ahead of AMD – especially if you’re looking for games and crunching numbers.

I have just as little respect for Christianity as I do for Islam, but Islam is the more dangerous and more perverse.

    Here you go, http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/5217424.stm

A product of the savage barberism that is Islam.

Fine, show me the rule in the Islamic Shariah that dictated the punishment given to this girl? Go ahead, since you claim that the punishment given to the girl was in fact Islamic – (had it been Islamic she’d been stoned to death and not hanged, just putting things in perspective). Islam just as almost all the other religions of the world has been ‘used’ for serving political purposes of those in power. The Mullahs in Iran need to hold a grip over their young and rebellious society and Islam and ‘their’ interpretation of it proves to be just the right medicine for it. Where is the surprise in this?

Leave Christianity out of this, it is between the ideology of Islam and Civilisation dont try and justifie presnt day evils by emphsising past crimes.

Why shouldn’t I talk about Christianity since all I was doing was putting things into a perspective. All of us are a product of our past, I and you are not born out of a vacuum of time and history.

Islam may say that it is accepting of other religions, but the continual rants we hear about ‘infidels’ and ‘unbelievers’ tell a very different story.

Christians believe that the Jews and Muslims will go to hell because they don’t believe in their God, so what’s the big fuss about a Muslim calling a non-Muslim, an un-believer? Yes, I’m generalizing this as you’ve just labeled an entire religion and its followers of not being accommodating of religions other than Islam.

16 year old girls are put to death for being abused by their fathers

What in the world are you talking about? What does Sharia’ah laws have anything to do with this? Any sources to this claim?

Pakistan and China sign deal to develop long-range radar equipped early warning planes

The Associated PressPublished: November 24, 2006

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and China have agreed to jointly develop long-range radar equipped early warning aircraft, the Pakistan Air Force said Friday in a statement.

The announcement came during a visit to the country by Chinese President Hu Jintao in which the two allies are expected to discuss expanding ties in the defense, nuclear, economic and trade sectors.

The Pakistan Air Force and Chinese Aviation Industries agreed “for long term collaboration and co-development in the fields of aircraft manufacturing and other related fields including AWACS,” the PAF said.

It said a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Islamabad between the PAF and the Chinese Aviation Company, CETC, for the improvement and further development of Chinese Airborne Early Warning System.

“The same may be delivered to Pakistan in coming years,” the statement said.

Pakistan Air Force is already collaborating with another Chinese aviation company, CATIC, for the co-development and co-production of JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft.

Fight JF-17s are expected to be delivered to Pakistan during 2007.

In any case, if Islam comes to Europe, allows others to live their lives freely and not impose its own brand of justice, then European fears would be unfounded. But would this happen or would we get another state that lives by Islamic law and is fiercely intolerant of western ideology?

The assumption is that Islam will soon become a majority faith in Europe and then take over. This seems very far from reality, from my knowledge the largest Muslim population in Europe is in France which is no more than 3% of the entire populace. Exactly how such a small minority is supposed to take over the reins of power is questionable, socially considering that Muslim populations in Europe often tend to be economically vulnerable, not optimally educated and politically disorganized. I would like to interrogate through what means Muslims or Islam is expected to “take over” in such circumstances.

What concrete examples do we see of Muslims imposing Sharia’h law or restrictions on alcohol on a larger non-Muslim society? I would like to look at concrete data so that we can base our judgment on facts rather than perceptions.

Secondly, you seem to ignore a basic fact- human contact and influence is never one-directional. Scholars of colonialism have studied how the colonial exchange helped shape western societies also and not just the colonized societies themselves. Muslims living in Europe are not walking around in an insulated time capsule – they interact with the world around them imbibing its values, ideologies etc. this does not mean that each individual would be as receptive to “western” ideas as those who like to act as the spokesmen of the west would like. However that is precisely what democracy is supposed to mean, no? This exchange of ideas makes for a gradual coming together and integration and not a permanent divorce.

Kurshed if your Muslim please do tell me my queries, hopefully that way you’ll know i dont have any panic i just want to know and clear up somethings.

1> do you think shariat is acceptable?
2> Wont you think shariat will prevail somewhere when Islam becoms majority”happening in south thailand”?

    The word is kursed :o.

As far as Sharia’h is concerned, it’s ‘Islamic Law’ and until and unless the a state declares to be an Islamic state I don’t see Sharia’h ever becoming a state law of any country. Though Muslims can demand to be tried under Sharia’ah and not under the regular laws of a country under certain circumstances like here in Singapore, Islamic courts have jurisdiction over divorce and inheritance cases.

Whether or not Sharia’h is acceptable is a very debatable topic even amongst Muslims. I’m sorry but I, despite being a Muslim, am not that knowledgeable in this aspect of my religion so as to give a definite opinion as to whether or not it’s deemed acceptable by a majority of Muslims.

Islam then again has no restrictions upon living under a non-Islamic law system until it’s based upon providing justice.
