I really wish our airforce to get rid of ol N001 and having at least more modern Phazotron alternatives (if Irbis E is not possible) There was early Su-30MK3 program which boast Phazotron Zhuk-MSE radar, roughly equivalent to APG-63V1 but for some reason that project never went through. Said to be offered to China but no real deal proceed. If we ever acquire RVV-SD, N001 will not be adequate to support its 110 Km range and to say nothing to RVV-BD.

Lots of inaccuracies there, amigo.. Let me correct these..
    1. Zhuk-MSE would hardly be equivalent to APG-63(V)1 since the former is a mechanical slotted array radar while the latter is a 1st Gen AESA. You probably mean Zhuk-MSF Sokol PESA, but this has never been flight tested, to my knowledge.
    2. I am not aware of Zhuk-MSE having ever been tested on Su-30MK. I have only seen it mounted on the Su-27KUB prototype. I am not even sure if the development has ever been completed..
    3. The typical Su-30 upgrade would most likely be N011M BARS but this thing is so heavy that it needs to compensate for the shift of center of gravity.. We are talking different FCS, canards.. resulting in an IAPO Flanker (Su-30MKI/SM). The problem is your air force is stuck with the low-cost Su-30MK2 by KnAAPO..
    4. The only possibility that comes into my mind would be a combination of N001VEP backend with Pero PESA array.. I don’t think this config has ever been flight tested, though..
    5. RVV-BD has not been integrated with any Flanker, as of yet.. And if it ever will be, then definitely not with KnAAPO Su-30MK2s.. Su-35S is the usual suspect..

I understand perfectly what DSCA announcements mean, thanks, anyway.. It was merely to show that the Kuwaiti deal would be much more costly than just one billion for 28 aircraft.. The exact amount remains to be seen..

Did anyone notice the contract value given for the Kuwait Super Hornets? $1.17 billion for 28 aircraft. How can that (about $41,7 million per frame) be possible?

Most likely this only includes works awarded directly to Boeing.. The overall value of the contract, with all options exercised, would be $10.1 bn for 40 aircraft..

Maybe there’s nothing to brag about, just milking the already cash-strapped and corrupt economy by using political leverage.. I am not convinced that it’s fifty five helicopters for some $1.5 bn what Ukraine needs most at this moment..

All fighter jets usually go bingo after 150 miles supersonic flight surely – unless you’re carrying 11 tons of internal fuel like the Su-35?

They don’t.. unless their aerodynamics equals to a brick..

The butthurt is strong, I know.. anyway, what Air Force wants is irrelevant.. if it was upon them, they would be riding in invisible Mach 6 spaceplanes, with the rest of the population starving on food rations.. fortunately, there is a budget reality which they, too, need to adhere to.. makes no sense to finance a platinum-plated flying club producing no value, whatsoever..

The path has been set pretty clear – Germany shall pursue an indigenous solution.. More or less advanced than the F-35, that’s another matter.. the whole team has been unified on this, with the said general constantly trying to undermine that direction.. let’s say, actively lobbied for the F-35 to the extent it became suspicious.. he has been warned twice but still continued to pursue his agenda.. there are assertions that he might already have taken something he could not turn back, anymore.. no one knows for sure.. but his behavior was not entirely logical.. in the end, you don’t want a member in a team permanently trying to disrupt the effort.. so he was sacked..

that’s about it.. if you want proofs, ask BND

Shame on them. Sacking a general for passing to the public some advices right in line with the core of the manufacturer’s interests and for the benefit of his own pockets, this was until late scarcely heard outside… Of Moscow.

.. there, fixed it for ya..
