Its the 767-300ER in My Travel C/S by project opensky. Its strange as i have got the Air 2000 version and it takes off fine from 6L but the My Travel always ends up on the grass – could it just be a dud plane?
Where did you hear about the a320’s? Iwouldnt be surprised if in the long run they start to use the lcc’s to operate the short haul flights.
Also it appears that My Travel are set to concentrate more on medium/long haul routes. “Transitioned more of our flying from short haul to medium and long haul“. All those posts a while back about my travel ceasing to carry out long haul operations are unfounded so basically we’ll still be seeing the cool A330 at manchester for a long while yet!
I know to avoid olympic holidays – flyjet with the old (built 1986) 762 they have acquired things are about to get worse for them me thinks.
Anyone know which tour operators flyjet operate for? I’m trying to avoid them!!!
Cheers all, off to buy fs 2004
Thats great thanks for the info
Just seems like they are cutting it a bit fine. Strong head winds would increase the fuel consumption and over the atlantic, i imagine it can happen quite often, not many places to divert over the atlantic. Heard about an excel 767 that took 2hours longer to cross the atlantic due to unanticipated strong head winds!! The figure of 3664 was for the shortest route between manchester and orlando. Presume 3500nm was for a full capacity 757-200 – the range was taken off the excel web site. A simple way of looking at it is that it takes roughly 9 hours, the average cruising speed is 500mph thats up to 4500.
NB a nautical mile is less than a normal hence 4217 miles is 3664 nautical miles. All aeroplane ranges are quoted in nautical miles.
more accurate url http://www.indo.com/cgi-bin/dist/
Looked on the excel site for the 752’s range also
My mistake its 3664 – still 164 more that the range though!!
Distance between Manchester, England, United Kingdom and Sanford, Florida, United States, as the crow flies:
4217 miles (6786 km) (3664 nautical miles)
Initial heading from Manchester to Sanford:
west (280.1 degrees)

Sorry its from manchester
Delays at Manchester
Also what was with all the delays last night and today several myt/tcx had long delays from manchester? also euk this lunchtime is over 9 hours late(and counting)?? was it air traffic – unusual that many have had big delays.
Just sent an email to find out the price!!! I’ll let you know.
obviously it aint built yet but wait a few years for something better suited
What about the A380, any news on the range of that – surely a better and plane to fly for pilots in terms of comfort and the capacity would make it more financially viable!!
