if in doubt blame the french! How badly will that go down!

anythings better than an airbus!
skim reading all that has been said i just want to add this:
No one wants to get in a spin? (correct??)
A spin is likely to occur when we have a high workload and with little attention spread across the board?
There will be little height most of the time, slow speeds?
So why practice or focus on the spin its self, why not focus of not ‘loosing’ our attention, recovery actions almost before you have started to spin and stopping the spin in its tracks?
Prevention is better than cure surely (or hospital!)
I have done a bit of hands on spin training, but would it make me better at responding when im in a circuit somewhere? I dont know, i would like to think so, but we live in a real world and i imagine if i got into the situation it would be for the same reasons for me as anyone else.
The speed of my response to everything not just a spin and not putting my self in that position in the first place is my goal for me that is better than saying I can recover in 200ft and im at 500ft or saying last year, last month or yesterday i showed i recovered from the spin with an instructor or examiner, because the time i need it will be totally different to the conditions in the test.
Experience a spin, possibly good to show what its all about but prevention, skill training and response and pridiction training is my prefered method so i never have to encounter a spin that i didnt take off with the plan to put myself in it!
fill in some forms and in about 60days you can ask for your FAA PPL secured on the UK PPL (so that has to be valid to keep the FAA one valid) get the correct VISA and bobs your uncle!
she should do my degree; Emergency and Disaster Management or International, Engineering and Disaster Management.
There are air accident course you can go on here and in the US and i think a PPL is required
i Did my JAR PPL in a relaxed manner over 3 months and my american FAA PPL in 3 weeks, whether or not doing an intensive course or not is up to the individuals abilities – It probably helps that i did it when i was 19 and starting my commercial at 21
i did my first solo in max cross wind of the ac i was in – not perscribed tech. but certainly teaches you what you need to know
People do tend to believe what they see, well a good % of people. Sometimes the people that make the most noise are these people. A lot of the time the people that believe this are narrow minded or fear this sort of thing because of the portrail made by the media.
This isnt to say we should rap them up in cotton wool, or change what TV stations show, its just a bit of fun – lets face it could a heli be dropped out of a plane at 15000+ started and flown as in James Bond?
Its just a bit of fun, people that get worked up about it and believe it, could possibly do with being tarnished by the same brush and scepticism? etc
People that moan about aircraft noise and airfields, well may be they souldnt by a house next to an airfield, may be they should get a job and or a life (within reason) May be they think of the consequencies of what they do and not what they can gain (could this be endemic of the population at large?)
Im involved in emergency and disaster managment and flying and you see many views, usually the smaller groups make the biggest noise on the smallest snippet of data!
Lets focus on some important stuff, educate people in aviation, but not stop what is shown on TV or complain and pick about silly points.
I could go on but whats the point? the world isnt going to change by one person overnight and isnt going to change if people turn their head!
Oh BTW Discoveries are awsome vehicles wasted on the road driver, i own 3 classic, mid age and a branie awsome off road! great to get to a remote field when a microlight crashes!!:D not that i would get in one of those ever again and i will still complain when one is left infront of my aircraft in the hangar – but seriously its all a bit of fun, lets all enjoy it
Most days are flying days at some time, but to be as flexible as possible is the key, giving say 2 weeks solid around a lesson every week.
2 golden rules when you pass – if in doubt dont and dont push on in the hope it will all get better weather wise, air on the side of caution and dont let caution go to the wind (bad pun)
Then do an IMC!
Not trevor
But do you know any class G that does, i dont, but americas a big place
to continue the thread this is what happens when you buy a flat pack kit from from MFI
if you want to know exactly what US airspace is about visit
http://www.asy.faa.gov/safety_products/airspacecard.html
these cards are very handy, although the CAA does a good A4 sheet, the FAA’d card idea given to all qualified pilots when they pass would be a good idea.
