    MAN routes:

    Domestic
Aberdeen, Belfast City, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Isle of Man, Jersey, LGW, LHR and Southampton

    International
Amsterdam, Berlin, Bologna (for the next week!), Brussels, Copenhagen, Cork, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hanover, Lyon, Madrid, Milan, New York, Nice, Oslo, Paris, Pisa, Rome, Shannon, Stuttgart, Venice, Vienna and Zurich

JFK is run as a BACX route!

Additional types = 737 of Titan (but that appears to have gone to BA mainline) and ATR42 (Titan and Air Atlantique) as are currently no days when some part of the BACX fleet goes tech; most of the time, they use Titan and Flightline 146s to rescue the schedule.

Ren Frew, we’re slated for 772HDs from 1st June to be replaced by 773HDs from 30 October on the EK17. Although them expanding their UK regional operations in always welcome, my opinion that GLA going from A330 to 777-300s seems a tad too ambitious – I can understand thinking about updgrading services to 777-200s from next year; it does like that they’ve forestalled any sign of further enhancement for GLA for a little while if 773s are introduced!

It seems more likely that we could end up with A380 operations at MAN before the expected 3rd daily service as that plan now seems to have gone onto the backburner (perhaps another instance of EK trying to increase yields at MAN; they pegged MAN at daily services for a couple of years despite tremendous loads – 90%+ I believe – and admitted as much when they revealed the 2nd daily service. Speaking of which, loads are now approaching 90%…time to get the shoehorn out again to cram the passengers in).

ShamrockA321, from the 1950s to 1978, EI had a quite extensive range of destinations available from Manchester (so much so that one of their slogans was “Manchester’s our second home”), and then from 1988 to around 1993 they were able to reintroduce more continental services from Manchester. All under the guise of “5th freedom” rights which enabled them to pick up and deplane passengers at Manchester from other airports.

    MAN-JER is a 146 route Mon-Sat. Mon-Fri will (normally) see a 146 have this schedule:
    MAN-FRA-MAN-JER-MAN-ZRH-MAN.

On at least 2 occasions in August an RJ100 has operated the MAN-JER-MAN-ZRH-MAN sectors
