Great News!!!
I would think collectors like Jerry Yagen and Paul Allen would be very interested in adding a Typhoon to their collections. Having other parties involved to have the cost spread over two to three airframes would be ideal I would think.
I would be surprised to see this go to Flying Heritage due to the non-original engine. Yagen seems more logical……anyone know for sure?
Don’t forget another in Germany. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Flugwerk-Fw-190/1929935/&sid=1f8404a8d1425f49fdd5aa4863ee494f
Thought that might be Yagen’s. That is some great news regarding the re-engine! I am here in Dayton and grew up with visiting that Bf-109.
Do you know if the wing in question has been restored to airworthy yet?
Hello Matthias,
Thank you for your great post on the forums.
I was curious to know what 109 the wing in the picture belongs to?

Guessing one of these would be Jerry Yagens 109e?
What a beautiful aircraft! Now we have a two Seafire MKIII’s, the secound MKXVII, and a MK46 under restoration to fly?
I wounder if these two will ever see like as airworthy warbirds?
any idea when the 190 will fly?
Is it just me or does anyone else think the DH twin Airliners are some of the most beautiful aircraft made!!!
In my opinion warbird Digest is the only American magazine/Journal that is comparable to the quality of Flypast. You can view the first issue at the link below.
This will be my favorite Spitfire scheme once finished. I am glad they have chose something a little different!
I spoke to Steve Hinton at the glacier girl show last weekend and he said the The Checkers in Fowlmere was a good pub to take in what do you think?
Do we really need to push a display to the edge?? We have pilot that is putting his life, the spectators lives, and the aircraft at stake!!! You would think we would learn from what we have gone thru the past few years!!! PLEASE, lets consider the rarity of the aircraft!! Do we really need to see rare 1 of a kind vintage aircraft doing aerobatic displays??????? I am grateful this ended safely. And hopefully the owners will reconsider the way there rare aircraft will be displayed.
