If they are going to hotac crew which base will they be from? As by looking at the timetable BE doesn’t appear to have an LGW base
   Really? What is the difference then apart from the hours on the planes?
keeping the ave age down
and more importantly keeping the maintenance costs down. Remember FR work those machines hard.
I didn’t think PMI operated during the winter TT, or am I thinking of LHR/ALC?
INV didn’t run daily during the winter last year either if I remember correctly.
Am not sure about LYS or VCE though.
There appear to be a lot of TUE/WED rotations there though.
The 146’s are being replaced by 195’s. although there have delivery problems which is slowing this down.
I am sure the IOM service was going to Q400, it may already have done so which would explain the sightings if the Q400.
INV I am sure is to get a 195 for their LGW’s
JER/LGW goes to the 195 from the start of the winter timetable when the service increases to 6 daily. According to their website JER is to get the newest one which I am sure is G-FBEF
Not sure about GCI or BHD.
They complain rather loudly about the state of and delays at STN, one day at LHR and they will think STN is christmas.
Cork is next on the list for EIN cuts,
Is this likely? EI have just set up a crew base at Cork rather than hotac the crew. This will save a lot of euro thus making yields higher and costs lower.
I don’t think NCL is converting just yet. by the looks of things it’s just a drop in services & frequencies from there at the moment. Good news for BFS though
I’ve applied and police checks were mentioned on one of the screens. Can’t remember exactely what it said but it was definately mentioned
A move out of LHR isn’t going to happen , large numbers of seats are sold thru the BA codeshare. They may (emphasis on the MAY) drop one or two but no more than that, a lot of pax still connect through LHR to destinations that are not available from DUB
The codeshare is only on the LHR route.
Will be interesting to see the BA and more notably the FR response to this one.
Good move though, nice to see all their eggs aren’t in the LHR basket anymore
Nice shots, The Eastern Jetstream looks like it had an interesting landing (I like em that way)
Wuth Scot & Whoosh operating from DND it must feel a lot busier down there these days.
Has anyone flown with Whoosh yet? Am considering giving them a shot for a day out and would be interested to here others views.
Nice shots
I particularly like the Airberlin one, an airline I would love to see more of up here in Scotland.
I flew with Jet2 on Friday Berlin-Manchester. The show in the magazine onboard they still offer MAN-LGW, however I was under the impression they dropped this route. I know this doesnt answer your question about LGW-NCL bus does indicate they chop and change a bit
This is certainly not a surprise, a few months ago there was still a poster in the departure lounge advertising Jet2 flights to MAN – which ended about 6 months previous
Well looks like i’m not the only one that’s 2p fared out my head then
The penny flights do appear to be helping the load factor which has fell the last few months, however how much are they going to have to pay ‘Greedy Gordon’ (I believe that’s what they call him) in APD?
For 2p the scrum is bearable – just!, however the priority boarding is very hit or miss – most of the english speaking airports seem to have it down to a fine art (SNN excepted). The small print regarding priority boarding will state something about being bussed to the aircraft (I know EZY’s does – it says something like we guarantee you will be first on the bus but possibly not the plane)
Could this be the Q300’s that Flybe (ex BA Connect) are planning on disposing of in the next few months?
