No we don’t have a 757 based, that is NCL’s based one. Infact we don’t have based TOM aircraft at all this summer coming!
The runway as said is about 7500ft and we handle DC-10’s regularly (4x a week at the moment) although these troop flights have been A330’s and B747’s in the past (we have seen a range of airlines! Monarch, MyTravel, Air Comet, Air Caraibes, XL France….and more!).
The Farnair F27 was in to do the Fedex flight tho I believe it is now back in the hands of the usual Saab 340 now?
Sad to see the Gill hangar go, won’t be the same without it!
That AN12 looks suspiciously like the ex-Vega new livery? The blue version of there’s! Is this true or am I thinking of something completely different??!! 🙂
I heard it was to be an Iberworld A320, though on lease to TCX so therefore operating as TCX. No idea if it’s true though!
Agree with most others and say the old livery is better than the new one, although the transition isn’t quite as bad as Spirit! The new CSA livery looks unfinished to me. Maybe with the ‘CSA’ in the ‘shape’ on the tail as it is on the fuselage would look better! Even if it’s ‘cut-off’ to an extent.
From what I understand from the thread on pprune about CWC they will be based at Southend.

Any ideas of where the Bluebird goes to/from and the schedule for it and the Atlantic flights?!
The ATR feeders already run into MAN, but serving the STN base (GLA-MAN-STN-DUB-GLA) and the CDG base (GLA-MAN-CDG-MAN-GLA).

It’s just been painted in the new XL livery but without the XL stickers as it was going out on lease to White, the other one (F-GRSQ) is in getting painted now.

Yep runs the ABZ-EDI feeder for DHL five times a week (I think its 5??) Should weekend stop Friday-Sunday at EDI I think.

Yes it is a satellite reciever for Jetblue’s Satellite TV service, and very good it is too! Had the pleasure of using them for a quick Long Beach – Oakland last summer and they were superb. Brilliant being able to watch what you want and makes the flight go so quick!

No one mentions the 18hr delay to the TOMfly flight (G-CDZH 738) from Dalaman-MME, supposed to be back 0025 and due back 1830 tonight. Subsequently the Corfu has just left on another 738 (FDZB) at 1730, std was 0850 so thats just over 8 and a half hours late.
Not seen anything mentioned on the news.
We’re getting an Omni DC10 every 2 days here at MME on troop flights, opposite days are an XL France (Star Airways) A330. Good to see!
Good luck to Avient on their new contract, certainly something good for DSA to have!
Presumably the one that arrived here at MME at about 1930 then…. that was 1:15 late from Lourdes. By the time it positioned back down there to fly the EXT one would probably be about right.
I think Jet2 will have a new fleet by 2012 certainly won’t have the old B733/B752’s still when we get to 2012 I wouldn’t have thought!?
