Now with bmi british midland now getting this route licence to operate the Heathrow -Moscow service. I wonder if they’ll let Cathay Pacfic operate the the long awaited Manchester-Moscow-Hong Kong Service???

I wouldn’t say Air Tahiti Nui, because of the routing (THT021 goes up the west, ie over Carlisle way, not straight over the NEW) but then I don’t think it’s Olympic either (grey belly?)

It’s because bmi have put a ‘false’ lease in, they are only wanting it so that Qatar can do another LHR-Doha on bmi’s AOC (sort of) as Qatar have used up their alloted quota of services per week! Therefore they are using the British side (BA/bmi/VS etc) as their is spare capacity on this quota…..hope I explained that ok??

Apparently GLA is open, but they’re only accepting aircraft for which they have stands, not allowing holding on the ground due to snowbanks in the way….EDI’s queue is too long therefore not accepting much, so things are stuck with where to go (PIK the obvious one)
