We already have 2 Goldtrail full time flights 😛 And we get a third Onur starting on 20th July for Holidays4u. Good news for LBA though and strange that they didn’t start the Dalaman in May!

Indeed it is, on the G-reg anyway. Otherwise I would imagine that TF-AME/AMJ/AMK are all registered to them because XL would have to G-reg them to be registered to XL

No that Reus flight is for MYT

Thomsonfly are getting the exact same a/c (EC-FTS) on lease from 1st July – 31st July

I doubt it very much considering you have to go all the way down and round the loop !

    Oh there is!

Flightline used a Spanair MD83 (Spanair a/c, crew etc) on our Reus flight (runs (DUB-)MME-REU-BFS-REU-MME(-DUB) on Mondays) and with Spanair doing it, it regularly got back (STA is 2110) around 0100-0200. Now that they got rid of Spanair and now MAPjet are doing it, it arrives back most weeks before 2200! Big difference!

According to Jethro’s TOM have leased a Spanair MD80 for a month!
    Seems a bit random.
Have they done this before during the summer? Or is it current fleets problems?
    Anyone shed any light?

Yes this is on the CAA lease thingy for this week, they’re blaming it on late delivery of aircraft (do they have anything due? maybe a B733 for the low cost side) and they had an Air Europa B738 not long back (we got lumbered with it at MME – better not get this one 😡 )

Yes a very good description of the mail network/system that runs at night, and as Steve will accept, he has spent a lot of time teaching me about the system (also flytecomm did a bit of the teaching ;)) so I could get it onto Flight Sim!

Don’t think there will have been much, if anything, as most aircraft were simply landed in Canada or at other airports in the US (Boston, Bangor etc) or turned back, maybe via a refuelling stop in Keflavik and returned to there airports of origin (ie LHR, FRA etc)

Wow Eastern + Flybe really hate each other at the moment! Good news for LBA though.
If only our management here at DTV could be quite as good at getting new routes! They haven’t even announced the winter Geneva yet, mind you neither have Baby!

alphajet goes at 1100, with Thomsonfly at 0830 and Thomas Cook at 0905

alphajet will be a B738, might be lucky and get the winglets one (50% chance of course)

Today has seen Excel operate from MME to Brize Norton, and then onto Al Udeid as XLA105

Not quite 100% 🙂 The B743 operated as XLA104 BZZ-MME-Al Udeid yesterday morning then XLA105 Al Udeid-MME-BZZ arriving back into BZZ around 1230 lunchtime today
